We are definitely in Goon Squad Season, and rigorous adherence to a theme team is generally not the winning play at this point, but is there a player you've seen become especially dominant once Surge chemistries kick in to maximize key physical or skill attributes?

I'm telling ya, people are absolutely snoozing on Trent Williams as THE best long snapper in the entire game. Clint was stoked about the ~2 years of effort it took him to get long snappers introduced to Madden 26, well, this card is ahead of his time; big boi with max 99 SPD/ACC, etc on my maxed out theme team, but also gets Secure Tackler. Sheer genius from EA.

I regard you highly as one of the game's true sim players, but I must ask: Is there a circumstance where Trent Williams makes a team better if Long Snapper were the only position I could improve? I ask because with Surge chemistries, I can punt out-of-bounds within the five from almost anywhere on the field.
(If he would have had Vanguard, I could have done exactly what you said, and also subbed him in at tight end on stretch run plays.)

Was intended to be a bit tongue in cheek while i think of an actual example... honestly, there's not really anything that comes to mind, despite the fact i've been mulling this over for the better part of an hour -- the more i think about it, the more i'm convinced that stats barely matter. Once everyone is 99 SPD / 99 ACC, what the heck. It's not liek having 99 in every other meaningful stat improves gameplay. For example, 99 Play Recognition / Awareness, etc. don't improve my defenders' reaction, it's only once they're given Mid Zone KO (or whatever relevant abilities) that they'll start to be in position to make a play on the ball.
MAYBE a case could be made for that Cameron Jordan card to be used in creative and interesting ways, but after spending a bundle on the card, i struggled to find a way to truly take advantage of the versatility. Should have held onto it, but i ran out of ideas and assumed i'd need the coins towards RP sets.
My goodness, Trent not getting Vanguard is such a painful oversight, i kept hoping they'd "fix" the card and replace Secure Tackler.
