What should I do to upgrade consoles

over this summer, i will buy a Xbox s. I would like to preorder madden 23. What should i do, cuz it seems to be more complicated than just buying a new console. Also, isn’t there different types of madden 23 (standard, dual, etc.)

also is there any news about escape cuz i saw slammer say It is an X factor now

does it matter when i buy the new console? When can i preorder? Will the rookie premiere thing transfer over?

It's not more complicated than buying the console. Buy the console. Preorder the game at any point (even if you don't already own the console).

Complete the Rookie Premiere on the same console (Xbox One / Xbox Series X / Xbox Series X or PS4/PS5) and you won't have any issues.
