Hey, I only play solos and I really only play for fun, but I’m curious, is it even possible to get any of the “rated” reward players without playing any head to head games and only doing solo battles, or should I not get my hopes up?

you mean ranked? if so, no. you only get those by playing the ranked h2h mode. you can buy the top 100 player once they are released but it will cost you a lot of coins.
