I want to get both NCAA 26 and Madden 26, and both normal version games add up to almost $150. But the deluxe bundle is both games in deluxe edition for $150. I don't plan on playing a lot of NCAA 26 cut, but I do plan on playing Madden 26 mut. I think personally the bundles worth it if you save the points for later in Madden or NCAA football. Thoughts?
If you plan on playing both heavily then yes. I will never buy college football again after this past year...bought the mvp bundle last year and got bored of college after a month and havent touched it since so I will definitely only be sticking to mut.

I must say I envied CUT players for the prospect of coming into MUT with extra stuff. Then the implementation hit a snag, and the stuff earned in CUT ended up not making an impact. I don't think EA's content team has the talent to make a success of two parallel titles. EA wasn't doing Madden well before they tried to run CUT simultaneously. Now they do two things poorly.

This is such a sticking point that people conveniently manage to overlook. They've taken ~half the developers and now insist they crank out two titles per calendar year.
Both of these games will continue to be low effort, high volume with few meaningful changes or improvements. Sadly, they lack both time and skill to pull this off.
I'm not pre-ordering either game, time to put up or shut up. This is the first time EA's exclusivity agreement has been in jeopardy in twenty years. This aggression cannot stand. 🤑

Why do you think the exclusivity agreement is at risk?

I don't think, i know that the deal runs through the 2025 season, with the final year being OPT-IN, assuming they hit certain revenue targets. For the past twenty years, literally, this company has been the ONLY game in town, the language specifically reads that EA has:
“the exclusive right to manufacture, market and distribute NFL-themed realistic action simulation video games.”

The existing contract carries through the Madden NFL 26 game year. 20 years after Madden NFL 06, the first entry in the franchise under the exclusive contract. EA’s original agreements with the NFL and its players’ union were announced in December 2004, wiping out any and all competing products (including Sega and Take-Two Interactive’s beloved NFL 2K franchise). This was originally done as a way to punish 2K Games, who launched their football title at $19.99 (when video games at the time cost $40-50).
If you're interested, here's an old Polygon article from May 2020. If it had been renewed, we'd already have heard about it -- hopefully the league is taking a "wait and see" type approach. The community should be trying to rally and vote with our dollars, but we couldn't even get ten people to agree on a hashtag to use on social media, let alone take some time off from this addictive slot machine. This is how i'm going to approach the game year, by NOT pre-ordering. You do whatever makes sense for your situation, however knowledge is power. Too bad more folks aren't aware of the simple fact that EA has been abusing their monopolistic power for decades and had zero repurcussions.

In the 90s, everyone had a NFL licensed game. This was after EA taught the market how to make a good one. Sadly EA is not the same cutting edge company it was back then. We desperately need more competition again.

Check out the Madden bio on Amazon Prime and see the difference between the makers now compared to back then some of the old school makers like literally cried talking about the game with passion, etc it really makes you realize how it's a "job" to the people doing it now
It's because its the same price. But the extra content is irrelevant after a week or two. Best case is to continue playing 25 til after Christmas when 26 is $20. We all just repeating the cycle of playing a bad game. They never make it good just slight adjustments to the bs. Spend all this time and money to get the best possible team only to play with that team for a month or so, nah. I'm getting my investments worth.
