Ted TE1 but you could run Dawand at TE and Ted at WR if you don't care about audibling around

This is the way.  Dawand doesn't get Truzz, but he's absolutely elite at everything else.  I've got mine with a full compliment of blocking abilities (Secure Protector, Post Up  & All Day & Vanguard) as well as the normal TE requirements; Route Tech, HJS, Evasive? (or Spin Cycle, cannot recall which he gets)... then run big Ted as WR1.  This will mess up some of your audibles and formations, but it'll help with others.  For example, i regularly audible down to I Form Slot Close, from Five Wide and hope to catch opponents in pass coverage.

If you want or need any actual TE, there's a bunch of Theme Team Surge players, all of which get Vanguard, although many have some small trade-offs.
