Step-Up Offer Gone

Anyone ever experience the step-up disappearing after you buy step 1? What did you do to get the rest of the steps? This is annoying.

How long has it been since you purchased step 1? EA seems to rotate many of the offers. Is there something specific you need? Kinda late in the year to spend cash, but hey it's your money. Hope it comes back for you, sorry I can't help.

A lot. I enjoy opening packs idk…better than going out and drinking. Steady job. House. Vacations. I only bought the game in like January.

I’m just trying to see if anyone has experienced step up leaving after you purchase level 1 and if so, what you did to fix it.

I am not innocent either. I’ll snag a $20 bundle to feel the rush of a rare card opportunity. But looking back it feels stupid and dirty. Add it up and you know what I mean.

Agreed. I understand but it is what it is. I used to spend hundreds a night at bars. So, it’s better than that. It’s legit an addiction.

One thing that helped me stop buying packs was rationalizing it. Seriously.. like you spend $50 or $100 and even if you are SUPER LUCKY and pull the best card possible, it doesn’t even change the outcome of your head2head matchup in the slightest. The worse was with the rerolls. I’m blowing cash just to gamble on fake coins. Can go to DraftKings app instead and actually win real money but def don’t advise that if you struggle with madden packs. Slippery slope 😂

This is how i used to justify it (my MUT addiction), as well... better than the other vices i've supported over the decades.  I considered myself extremely fortunate to have any disposable income, but these days i'm trying to choose life.  Anytime i have an inkling to spend, i go donate twenty bucks to my kid for GTA+ or his NBA2K grind.  I should be trying to teach him better habits (such as not participating in pay to win game mechanics), but we'll keep working on that.  For now, i just need to continue trying to lead by example, which means... NOT spending on my own bullshit.  Especially not in May and June (or July).

My initial goal for the summer is to not pre-order M26.  I'm going to try and take a month or two off, but we'll see how that goes.  Never say never, oof.  And then if/when i do inevitably have a weak moment and decide I cannot exist without Madden 26 in my life, well... i'm going to try and NOT have to explain to my wife why we need a ~thousand dollars worth of virtual playing cards yet again this season.  One day at a time, i guess.  Oof.  Best of luck to us all.

Trying to put my money where my mouth is -- this is the first time in decades EA has realistically been in danger of losing their exclusivity agreement with the league.  If that happens, it'd be HUGE for the community.  Consumer choice is always good.
