I mean, the power gap between the best cards and the rest isn't THAT dramatic. Pay to win is more noticeable around Zero Chill / MUTmas season. I'm slightly above average when it comes to Madden Ultimate Team. I'm solid on defense, typically know what i'm doing and can counter most casuals and one-play pussies, but there's a range of "Top100" caliber players who have their cheese dialed in and it's beyond annoying to play against.
Everyone can lose at Madden and i mean everyone. And i am by no means a top tier Competitive player, but we hold our own in Squads play. And there's always the endless array of random disconnects/desyncs and such which result in losses. Heck, i just recently crawled my way back to Legend tier Squads H2H play after being stuck back in Veteran for a week or two after numerous disconnects.
I've barely played offense in the past couple/few months, so to say i am wildly inconsistent would be an understatement. I also finally gave up the fEagles offense and have been focused on trying to learn the 49ers playbook, wanted to get my run game going and this seemed more appropriate, although it's kind of late in the year to change up offenses.
But yeah, i lose. More than is probably expected.

Can't wait to encounter you again... i'm trying to get back into the groove and play a bit of offense from time to time. Been spoiled with all that squads play. You got me good, yes he stomped me one late-night a couple/few weeks back.
peatrick said:He was a fantastic slot corner for me. Don't let me scare you away, his elite height is terrific for making plays on balls that would be over the head of most other DBs.
I'll try to get this roster updated later this evening, but it's mostly current. In terms of DBs (i have some hidden on Specialists tab for theme team purposes):
- FS - Ed Too Tall
- SS - Darnell Washington
- CB1 - Mel Blount (he's THE best corner in the entier game, IMO)
- CB2 - Plaxico Buress, i swear i'm not starting a Steelers theme team
- CB3/Slot1 - Josh Uche
- CB4/Slot2 - Anthony Adams
i have a handful of other corners; Gronk, NTL, Tre Brown (49ers TT Surge), but none of them have Avalanche, so they don't really see playing time unless i need to go full Bottleneck Man Press, which is almost never.
little off topic but it’s kinda funny out of all the corners you named starting only 1 plays corner irl 💀

My schedule has been sporadic lately, I've been trying to arrange something with him for a couple weeks.
Enjoy your vacation, hope to catch you guys soon.

Yeasssirskiii @RavensFlockLetsFly that was prolly the most fun I’ve had playing this game in months.
When you getting back from vaca
@peatrick Yeha I messaged you and tried inviting you on EA a week ago but my name is Remy so idk if you knew it was me?
But yeah I went 13-0 in Squads yesterday, 4-0 with randoms and then got Raven to run it and we went on an epic 9-0 undefeated journey, SB’s were won, goooood fricken times. We was cooking

Ok I took your advice from this post and picked up blunt. Why is he the best cb and what stack are you running? And you have him outside at cb1? I have Adams CB as well but thought Bowers was better because of height. Should I change him to cb4 also?

I’ll speak for @peatrick here Mel Blount is the arguably the best CB, because he’s actually a CB lol. His traits “plays ball aggressive” etc most GT’s as you know are OOP cards so they don’t get the usual traits regular players at their positions get.
I have 50/50 Steelers TT and play him in the slot inside you could play him outside but I have Plaxico and Uche outside.
I ran Mel outside for a few games and he excels in the slot. I prolly have 10-20 clips of him jumping backwards mid air snagging INT’s covering Y-Sail routes as he sits on the flat and adjusts to the post. His PRC and AWR mixed with agility and cod make him best in the slot reacting to quick throws.

Mel Blount stack: 0AP, he's the best because he's currently the only high end corner with Plays Ball in Air = Aggressive, it ensures he attacks the ball unlike anyone else in my defensive backfield. I noticed it in gameplay almost immediately, game 1. Run him at CB1 & Slot1 if you want, he's fantastic all over the field.
My corners ALL need Avalanche + ES, I keep Spice Adams around for that very reason and he fits my theme team, but he's kinda short. But plays amazing. I hide him at Slot2, but he definitely plays. Never used Bowers, the TT Surge corners were meh. I have a bunch; NTL, Gronk, Tre Brown, but none of them play. No avalanche.
