If you come across cheaters you should report them to EA as cheating is against the rules and generally not cool. However, I haven't seen any examples of this so called "cheating" and it seems like maybe you just need to get good at the game to be able to compete at the level you desire.

I totally get what you're saying, and it is a solution. It's just one of those solutions where the bad guys still win, because they'll "enjoy" (?) almost twelve full months on Madden. Guys like you lose months of gaming, and having to work your way up after starting out way behind.
There were some solid times in months past where there wasn't so much cheese, because the cheese wasn't nearly as effective. I have to conclude that EA encourages this because it drives people to the next Madden, which they'll support for about six months until MCS is through. Repeat.
Bingo
This is just my OPINION
I think the blame should be 50% EA and 50% the community. This is because of the amount of people taking a game so serious they need to exploit the terrible coding of a game to get the win. Whether it's in the game is irrelevant because you are choosing to use it and fully understand what you're doing and know that doing so will allow you to get an advantage over your opponent.
HOWEVER, as someone had stated, it has been a problem since MUT17. To let it go for a week, let alone 8 years, is appalling, disgusting and absolutely embarrassing and the devs should be ashamed of themselves for not fixing it. I also think that there's no way in HELL that EA employees havent seen emails, forums etc being made to bring this issue to light.
Tbh idk what to think anymore because I've bought EA products as far back as 2003 and there's been a lot of highs I'm not gonna lie but what they've done to madden...thats ice cold man...
