I'm saving surge for after week three's releases. The refund rate for Surge is awful, so I don't want to burn it on a player from a team with which my established theme team for the year has no synergy.

I'm currently running a 6/6 Power Cowboys, 2/2 Passing Cowboys, 40x ASA, 8x OOP ASA, 40x Cowboys team. With Danielle Hunter on the bench, ASA Ed Too Tall Jones has 99 SPD. I wanted to be able boost my ASA Packers as well, but I would have to give up my ASA boost to squeeze in another non-ASA HB and another non-ASA WR. (EA did the Cowboys no favors delivering a QB and an HB for the upgradable champions.)

I've made a crude spreadsheet for the 64 upgradable players, and will add the 32 when they release. In case anyone wants to retain their ASA squads with a minimum of disruption (because you can only give up four ASA players out of the maximum available before you also either cede the ASA bonus or the x8 OOP ASA bonus), the ideal teams at present include: Bengals, Broncos, Buccaneers, Cardinals, and Seahawks. Not teams with any particular tie to the ASA players, unfortunately. I am considering Seahawks, favoring Leonard Williams as a possible strong and fast pass rusher from DT.

It's nice to have Double or Nothing to get more sheds, but if you don't shut down your opponent quickly, your front seven will fatigue and burn their pass rush points, and their abilities won't mean much. Relentless is automatic for my defensive line.

Fair point.. I run mostly zone on defense.. on offense, depends on who I’m playing.. if I’m playing a brain dead individual that only calls loopers or 6-1, I run a cheese RPO offense.. if is someone that has a brain, I run just a normal basic scheme.
