I don't have much hope for it returning to anything resembling reality unfortunately. Somewhere around 2017 things went off the rails and it sucks because they actually got close for a minute.
Nah they would have to clean house and start fresh to accomplish anything like that. The current development teams only focus is milking wallets and putting in minimum effort. They literally added the saquon reverse hurdle in less than a week then quit for the year. Last year was bad but they really lowered the bar even bigger this year. Based off the past few years of downhill trajectory, next years focus will be DBZ characters vs NBA stars with very little anything actual nfl related.(they took away harvest/thanksgiving this year but made sure to keep stupid programs like genki)

Regs is gonna be as close as you could ever get, but even that is ruined but stupid ass arcade-ish abilities and animations. The simple fact is all of the sports games will never be sim again, because the focus isn’t realism or simulation, it’s profits now and forever more.
Nope. They would have to scrap all the code and start from the ground up and get rid of abilities and tell us what things mean, all of which would hurt EA so no.

sadly no......this was the first time since Madden 93 that I did not buy or play smh......Madden for me has been dead and will most likely never buy again lol R.I.P. madden
