I’ve had multiple 6-0 runs in the house rules today…

For those of us that really only play with Friends.  Ranked Squads or some other type of reward like they do for single player modes. 

You don't see a ton of the "meta" or glitch plays in squads that you see in solos.   I mean some people try it and it will work once, but after that it's usually a wrap for them.   After they get torched for 2-3 touchdowns or picked a few times, they try to play straight up and then usually quit.

This 6-0 thread was less self-aggrandizing than the other one.

I said I would quit this mode, but in a moment of indifference to losing, I started up MUT, and closed out a 6-0 run I had started the day before. A lot of my opponents were ordinary players that didn't cheese, and I hung on against the one that did.

But today, it's back to constant knockouts well after the catch. I really don't get the RNG in this game.

It took me a full 2-3+ seasons to finally find my way into a decent trio of dudes who enjoy playing actual fatball on the virtual gridiron and aren't just looking to cheese their way to success and glory, however that is defined in M25.  Now that i've discovered the potential fun available in Squads play, it's become nearly impossible for me to enjoy literally any other game mode.  My offense is sputtering a bit because i typically only play Defensive Coordinator, so my inconsistent offense is now even more, well... inconsistent.  Heh.

I think I'm maybe 3-0 on my first run through House Rules.  Had a couple sweaty games and one that wasn't too bad.  Game mode seems to be all about controlling the ball (and clock) and preventing the opponent from getting multiple drives.  If you don't get the ball to start the second half, it's an uphill climb.  I'll never understand how EA decides which version of House Rules to recycle for the latest and greatest limited time event.

We definitely still see a bunch of Double Pass style cheese in Squads, but it is exactly as you indicated, "less" than the other game modes.  I played maybe ~ten games of Ranked this cycle, before i actually bothered to look at the rewards and quickly understood that was a massive waste of time.  To truly "compete" in Ranked play, you basically need to be unemployed -- as so many of those dudes are playing hundreds of games per cycle (calendar month).  Not to mention, you have to have a ridiculously high pain tolerance, because it's THE cheesiest i've seen.  YMMV, but probably not.

Good stuff sir. I have found that there are certain times to play where the sweats aren’t as prevalent. Not sure what time of the day you normally play but the afternoons seem to be the best when it comes to not going up against all the meta stuff.

Congrats again on the 6-0 run. You taking Tillman or holding onto the token?

Holding for the next guy. And selling him promptly. And buying him back. Probably again and again. Since we'll likely go from a limit of 3/6 for the motivators to 6/6 on Thursday, we might see a higher demand for players that people need to reach 6/6.

I paid embarrassingly too much for Tom Brady, not realizing practically every upgradable player was just like him.
