Another Question

Why won't my receivers run the assigned route? I have guys on hooks that take three steps to the side when they turn so that the throw is off the mark. I have guys on corners and posts that get pushed completely off their route, and from that point don't run anything resembling what they were assigned. I have guys whose route only goes toward the sideline, but somehow when they get near the line of scrimmage in some cases, they literally turn to run the wrong way.

What is going on with this game?

This is a corporate strategy.  I'm not making accusations, but would you be surprised if something like this was going on?

So you're suggesting EA deliberately planted defects in a later Madden 25 update to sell more copies of Madden 26? Yeah, I would be surprised.

(A lot of people misunderstood the legal issue with Apple and throttling. There was a legitimate pro-consumer rationale to throttling; I tend to use electronics and motor vehicles for many years rather than frequently upgrading after only a few years. I do on-site client work at multiple properties each day, and a phone whose battery runs out before I get home is useless to me. Of course, there were negative impacts to the user as well, and the failure of Apple to be transparent in disclosing Apple's unilateral action left them vulnerable to a significant consumer rights legal question. I have never viewed the Apple action as a corrupt action, but rather as a poorly implemented tweak that most of their users did not appreciate.)

My gut instinct is that EA's late patching isn't meshing well with the increased speed of players across the board, and it also seems like the coding for players that pass near or through the box has resulted in adverse effects including erratic and unpredictable paths. But in any case, I'm running into more situations where the quarterback is throwing the ball accurately to where the receiver is supposed to be, but the game isn't getting the receiver to the right spot. And in the current meta, throwing with anticipation is about the only way to complete a pass while playing legitimately and without exploits.
