Card Art

I miss being able to pick card art. I’ve never really liked flexing, and some cards had fire art for a previous promo. I had a lot of cards with ZC art. Kinda stupid you can’t do that this year, but I didn’t really see anyone else do it.  Anyone else miss this feature or is it just me?

Yes I miss it for sure. Some cards I want to use simply for the card art. I guess I’m a sucker for some sick ass visuals!

Madden 20 card art was my favorite

Less work/effort to maximize profit is the EA way.

I don’t disagree, but it was already coded into the game. It had to be more work to take it out than leave it in.

Same. It feels like the card plays better with better art. It doesn’t and that is complete nonsense, but it still feels like it lol.

I totally forgot about this. Yeah I for sure did this too. Especially with a really good card. Kind of like reverse flexing.

They probably will bring it back for a monthly fee of $4.99 card art pass and promote it like its a new feature next year alongside the alternate jersey pass.

I didn’t start playing MUT until ‘23, but I come across pictures of some of the old promos and cards and some of them were pretty dope.

I miss actual card art -- these days we're just getting some stock photo slapped into an AI generated border, maybe (if we're lucky) to get some slightly retouched or reworked assets layered on top for good measure.  Uff.  Low effort, high volume.

Remember when they had an actual art team to pump out unique, custom stuff for each and every single promo?  Now it's some dude on Twitter, not even sure he's getting forty hours per week.  He's almost certainly not a full-time, permanent Electronic Arts Orlando / Tiburon employee.  If i had to guess / speculate, i assume he's an independent consultant / contractor.  How sad.  These are dark times for us all.
