How does having the "clutch" trait help the player?
Are the abilities more likely to activate in the last 2 mins of a game if the card has a clutch trait?
Is it completely useless?

Here is a post from a couple years ago explaining, but to my knowledge none of this has been verified. Things also may have changed since then considering this is from a few years ago:

As for it being useless, I have enough anecdotal evidence to say that it is a useful trait, especially on defense imo. My clutch players tend to cause turnovers when it's close late in a game. Supposedly it is supposed to work in the last couple minutes of both halfs, and also when it is within 8 points in the second half.
