Draft mode is pathetic

That game mode enrages me for so many reasons. EA gonna EA, uggh.

How are they this incompetent??? It's actually mind-blowingly laughable.

I get the same rounds every time, so I'm not sure how people are getting only offensive drafts, etc. But it is hilarious to always have 2 rounds of nothing but QBs to select. 
For me, it's always somethiing like QB, RB/WR/TE, DB, LB, DL, RB/TE/WR, DB, QB. I might be missing a round in there, but it's always the same positions.

I think the 2 rounds of QBs only happens around 50% of the time (I know this is still bad, but expected, and everyone has to go through this). However, I do think this event and the last House Rules event have been great for the majority of players (i.e., the nonsweats which is 99% of the Madden Community).

With the Draft mode not costing anything, people are more willing to quit instead of every game going the full time like before. Also more players are doing it so it is actually possible to win 5 games in a row. My son really enjoys picking the players and I am sure that is true for most of the younger players. Also, you are not worried about going against a god squad with someone who obviously prefers to use all of his money on this game.  Also, with the 2 minute quarters, things go by fairly quickly. It is nice that the prizes go down after Five 5 win runs so the Sweats are not playing this mode full time. It really has made this a fun experience compared to prior draft modes earlier in the year.

House rules last time with each person having one series each was also great. Winning did not get much so the Sweats were not as interested. Games were really quick so you could get on at anytime and not worry about the time commitment. 

It really is good that EA/Madden has started to make sure there are online modes for all levels of play. It really just makes the game much more fun to play for most of us and I hope they continue this trend. Hopefully the next step is to get rid of the bugs in the game.

2. I play against teams that literally have 5-7 98-99s on offense and defense 100% of the time

3. this mode used to allow you to pick from each position group with 15-20 picks

4. casual players can still play franchise and regs, MUT is a card based game

its a bad design of the mode and sweats still play the mode.

it can easily be fixed, but the devs are seemingly either incompetent or oblivious to making the game better.

This game mode is awesome. I won my 8th flawless and have been pulling absolute fire out of the 93+ packs. Pulled sweat and sold him for 725k and also pulled the guard puni out of a 93+ pack and sold him for like 750k. I’ve pulled a good amount of 96’s and built sweat and cooper and sold them for over 700k as well. I also picked the RT for the 99 draft player and sold him for over 900k. These games are really easy to win and they really don’t take long at all. Great money maker right now.

I don't worry so much about the 99's as I do about going up against rosters full of guys with baked-on abilities. In the handful of drafts where I managed to get some solid players, I would be consistently hamstrung by an unfamiliar playbook. I feel like I have to draw a play on my palm before every snap.

nothing like having your opponent about to rage quit for your 5th win but then the game crashes first. surpisingly i was able to play again but of course i get matched with a dude getting bailed out left and right. this mode is infuriating.

I agree...I dont think Ive seen one loop blitzer in 3 days

I absolutely loved this mode. Way better than that Showdown crap from last season. Anytime I can run a mode with reduced abilities and draft, I'm down for it. I probably made about 2-3 million coins in about five days on 5 flawless runs. That's better than going to the store and swiping my card to get a chance at pulling an LTD or a high platinum card.  

I'll say this about the duplicate QB drafts. They happen like 25% to 50% of the time and its not egregious to the point where you have to dump a draft.  Also, maybe its luck of the draw but I've went on a flawless run with the worst QBs (Vick, Lance Briggs, and that Staubach 🤮). But, when I got lucky and got a Ryan Leaf, or Mcnabb. I struggled in the 2nd or 3rd game to move the ball. 

At least they aren't having you waste rounds on O-linemen, P, and K. I see what they were trying to do by limiting you on the amount of DBs you could acquire so people cant just sit back and run man with all top tier DBs.  The devs are just ass at coding the draft. 

RB are king in this mode with 2 min quarters. If you get henry, sweat, thorpe, edwards, or Beast Mode you are damn near unstoppable if you follow your blocks. 

WRs are the second best position to draft. Calvin Johnson with Double me or Retirement Julio with Tank are catching every pass and breaking every tackle. 

Lastly, clock management is everything in this mode. A lot of you dont manage the clock at all. I've seen way too many people not get out of bounds with 2 mins left, not taking the field goals when its right there, or just plain trying to score too fast.  Get the ball first.  Get a play that can stop the run. Your opponent does not want to pass the ball, if you see them with the backs I named before. Or they have a QB they aren't comfortable using (see my point before about weaker QBs)

I hope some of this helps others get their flawless runs easier.
