Soooo I’m not over the allotted amount of abilities points on offense or defense and it won’t allow me to add a player with zero cost. It also says I have an invalid lineup but there’s no gaps a anywhere.

Try to generate best line up and then fix your team the way you want. or maybe check your specialist and special teams. you may have some players there that are not in your offence / defense with activated abilities.
