I know at the beginning of the year its nice and helpful but now high balls arent as prevalent and we have tons of catching abilities im wondering if its even worth having. curious to see if anyone is playing without it and how those feel, drop lots of passes? dont? curious

Personally ,i think its all mental.
You absolutely need it. I laugh when I see opponents receivers drop the ball on wide open looks, almost bails me out lol
I dunno, I use it, still air mail em occasionally, seems more effective for slants where they'll lay out for the ball as opposed to the stick the arm out awkwardly
I havent used it all this year and havent really noticed it.
I haven’t had it since I got Combine Poe, so a few weeks I guess. I have had a total of two wide open drops. Definitely doesn’t feel worth it to me. If I can’t make up for dropping 1 wide open pass in a game then I was going to lose that game anyways.

How often are you seeing this? I don't think I've seen a straight drop in months

You're going to see tons of people show up in the comments saying silly shit liek, "it's April, you don't need Gift-Wrapped!" but quite frankly they could not be more wrong.
The game is and remains a buggy ass, inconsistent mess -- Gift-Wrapped prevents us from getting robbed, or cheated by the game. It's not going to 100% guarantee that we catch every single pass, but it removes a ton of variability from the game, especially on those wide open and diving pass animations that we're seeing all the time.
And it improves EVERY pass catcher. What ability outside of maybe Gunslinger is more important on offense? Unless you're almost never throwing the ball, yes the 1AP (or free on certain cards, such as Joe Montana) is absolutely worth the investment. Even certain "popular" streamers get this wrong. But only do you want GW, it's practically a necessity.
