I suck at madden.

Title says it all. I’m ok on offense but defense I literaly just use coach suggestions. Is there any stock defense formation that just works well? Or is there a defense I should learn? I also suck at usering  the MLB lmao so I just user d line. any help or tips would be appreciated. tired of losing lol. My team is OVR 97 and I’m a 50 OVR 🤷🏿‍♂️

I use the mid blitz nickel formation and generally run cover 3 with man coverage on the MLB so they can't hit seams. I switch to cover 2 when they try dump downs and occasionally switch in cover 4. Works for me, but I make a ton of pre snap adjustments

I'm a horrible user...I have had very good success with the following:

Dime 3-2: Any of the plays where one of the SLBs are blitzing...I user the blitzing SLB and drop back into coverage (usually the TE or RB) while at the same time spying the QB.  This formation has a great mix of man, zone and match where one of the SLBs blitz (which allows me to suck).  Problem is you don't get great pressure (I use three DTs on the line), but do get turnovers (interceptions...by the computer...not me).  Can be susceptible to the run, but with three DTs it holds up fairly well.  I just rotate through the plays never calling the same thing twice...works fairly well.

I mostly run some variation of Cover 3 and pray for the best.

Thanks man I will be trying thi. yeah the only time I user anything other then d line is when I’m switching to a player for a pick which is oddly something I’m decent at but the rest of the defense I’m not lol

And before the questions come in about go watch YouTube, I have. They are explaning stuff I don’t know how to do for example “YouTube commentator. Now shade your player. then zone this player” I need the button sequence! Lmao I may be to old to get good at this game lol

Honestly I would recommend this formation, then make adjustments as people pick you apart. Every coverage can be broken so just make adjustments so they have ro
