Best HB in Mut 25?

The run game is ridiculously difficult this year.  I'd focus more on improving your read progressions (or ensure you HAVE proper read progressions, so you count; 1, 2, 3, maybe 4 before scrambling or ultimately throwing the ball away)... don't be shy about taking the check down.  EVERY time.  If your opponent gives up a quick pass to the Flat, take the 5 yards.  Make sure you always have some type of Flat or quick checkdown.

That being said, to answer your actual question -- basically any of the RoH running backs are going to be fantastic, until tomorrow.  After that, we're not sure.  Do you have any Combine upgrade tokens available?  If so, Jamaal Charles (3AP Freight Train) is quite nice, but will be more difficult to squeeze in all that AP after the reduction.  Doug Martin with 1AP Tank (and +1 SPD to all other RBs) is wonderful.  He can also get a 2AP Freight Train, which takes 9 plays to charge up, but once it's active, it never goes away.

I don't hate the take that the big bois (such as Sweat, or Perry) are some of the best ball carriers in the game, as things stand currently... i tried Peyton Hillis for a minute, he was kind of fun.  +1 for the bigger backs.

If you wanna go ultra cheap, that green Marcus Allen (Superbowl) with 4AP Angry Runs is still fantastic in both run and pass game... he can even be boosted by Doug Martin.

Thanks for this response. I have 4 of the combine upgrade Tokens. I’m at tier 5 for commanders and tier 6 for eagles. Team is currently a 97 (no spend account). Is the TOTY saquan Barkley worth the price? As far as attributes for him from what I have searched on mut gg he seemed to have the best attributes out of all the HBs on the running side of things. I will post my team in a comment once I get to my system. probably can use some help with my lineup from yall haha

I'd seriously glance at the NFL Honors Saquon, especially seeing as how you've got fEagles theme team, to boost him to max 99 SPD.  For 100k, he's got two 0AP buckets.  The only thing you'd really be missing out on (when directly compared with the 1M coin TOTY LTD) is that 1AP Tank.  Otherwise, everything else should be roughly equivalent, as stats do not go beyond max 99.

So, the question you'll need to answer, is 10x the price worth 1AP savings?  For my money, probably not.

EDIT:  I constantly forget about this, but Alvin Kamara is quite good, potentially the best pure receiving back in the game currently, with three 0AP buckets (Backfield Mismatch, Human Joystick and perhaps Balance Beam).

Wow I didn’t no there attributes were that close. do you happen to know if trucking or break tackle goes up with team chem? I see TOTY saquan has 99 for both and honors has 97. 

also, I am currently running emmit smith (season pass) at a 99. hes really a 98 but boosted to 99 due to team chems. Would you say that saquan honors card is better then the emmit? Sorry for all the questions I just started madden 8 weeks ago so it’s all new to me

Stats barely matter, definitely do not stress over them -- we're in the end-game now, abilities are everything.  The difference in 1-2 (or more) Trucking or Break Tackle isn't going to change the way these cards play.  Most stats operate off of minimum thresholds, so once you hit 90, they'll often play almost exactly the same as equivalent cards with max 99 stats.  Point being, there are diminishing returns beyond the specific thresholds.

Emmitt gets two 0AP buckets (Jukebox and Balance Beam), where Saquon NFL Honors (96 OVR) gets three.  My vote would be for the 100k Saquon, over the free Emmitt.

For me it’s gotta be Jamaal Charles. Having freight train makes running so much easier. I’ll probably stick with him til get a cheaper freight train or freight train tank combo.

That 3AP on Charles will almost certainly be the first thing that goes tomorrow after the AP reduction.  Freight Train feels liek more of a luxury at this point, run game is brutal this year.

It is a bit expensive now but there‘s a lot of options for 0 AP lineman and receivers.

I didn’t pull the trigger yet haha. I wanted to know if you feel the green Allen card with the angry run ap runs through defenders Easier then the 96 saquan

The 3ap for JC is a must in my team and not going anywhere,  my run game is just fine lol

I sold my TOTY Saquon LTD, barely used him. Absolutely LOVED Marcus Allen, but 4AP might be steep after tomorrow.

Angry Runs works in both run and pass and special teams. Better than Freight Train.
