Justin Fields bad or just me?

Disclaimer I’m not the best. But man he underthrows a lot. I tried with and without gunslinger And QuickDraw. 
 

im struggling a lot in my pass game. Any other QB for bad players?

This is my first year playing MUT and I've found the Josh Allen cards to be my favorite. The 91 "The Captain" card was really helpful to me learning the timing on completing passes in this game. I play on both PS4 and PS5 and the throwing mechanics are very similar on both platforms . Switching from The Captain's release to Allen's took a couple games to get the timing down but I can't play as well with another QB now. I have his 97 on PS4 and I'm using his upgrade free 93 on the PS5 and they both feel about the same. Also on the PS5 I have the Free Agency Justin Fields and the Kurt Benkurt which are both "better" in their attributes but I just don't like their releases much. I find that the ball gets there later with them than with Josh. I think most of it is just picking one and sticking with it until you learn their throwing mechanics. Josh Allen's cards all play very similar to me no matter the OVR, even his 85 card. ✌️

We will have to wait a few more months to get New York opinions, but Chicago and Pittsburgh fans may agree with you. LOL

His card was awful for me today in the CFB challenge. I had a wide open receiver and he over threw him. Drew Allar never misses that throw. That incompletion caused me to replay the challenge. LOL

I have not personally used Justin Fields Free Agency card, but for a minute i was convinced he was Top 3 QBs in the game, behind only Bo Nix and Poe (OOP), although for the next couple/few days, Peyton Manning is almost certainly THE best, or top tier QB1 in the entire game.

I still think Fields is really decent.  You're using the Placement & Accuracy passing settings, correct?  Gunslinger definitely causes random overthrows, but it's still quite possibly THE most important ability in the entire game -- nothing matters more (imo) than getting the ball out quickly.  Sometimes it can take a few days to get the release timing down when switching to a new QB.  Maybe spend 15-20 minutes per day in Practice mode, just to retrain yourself to the timing, with the goal being to throw as many perfect "blue" passes as possible.  On Christmas morning i was convinced that Josh Allen card STUNK, but it was me the entire time.  Once i got adjusted to his lightning quick QB Release, i quickly discovered that he was actually the best QB available around Christmas.  Difficult to say if that is what you are experiencing here, or something else entirely.

Random overthrows definitely happen, with ALL QBs, especially when equipped  with Gunslinger.  I'd probably skip Quickdraw, especially after AP reduction this Thursday.  Ideal quad/god stack for QBs is:

• Gunslinger
• Gift-Wrapped
• Master Tactician (which can also be built, using Backyard QB + Conductor... and Backyard QB = Hot Route Master + QB Playmaker)
• Set Feet Lead / Pass Lead Elite (although velocity abilities are much less impactful or important this year, could almost be considered optional)

Oh gosh, i feel liek Jalen Hurts is practically unusable in this game, he struggles to get pre-snap adjustments off.  Many of the more modern/current QBs suffer from this touch of "realism" that EA tried to add to the game.  There aren't any truly terrible (or unusable) QB Release styles this year, which is a definite improvement, but still probably should avoid players liek; Hurts, Stafford, Mahomes, Lamar, etc.

a very good player suggested to me to use placement instead of placement and accuracy , and every since i switched , Ive had only occasional overthrows. 

i use bo nix with GS, PLE and gift wrapped

Dont waste AP for gift wrapped when the throwing stats under 90. This abliity helps until season 1-2

he has really bad issues with over throwing or  not even hitting the receivers I use placement and accuracy and even then hes mid.  At best. His carry is also really low.

dudes a bum irl try out caleb williams much better ;)

Only issues I had was when I threw highpoint balls. They sail everywhere but not to the receiver.
But all in all I really enjoy Fields.
