Since I have completed all of the current passes I decided to spend some time testing Edge Protector this morning.
In pass protection it seems to work VERY similar to Pass Protector and Secure Protector.
The theory that Edge Protector only works against Edge Threat is simply not true. It doesn’t light up against DoN but it is working. Also oddly enough DoN doesn’t light up either, but I can confirm that it works because when I Usered the pass rusher with only DoN activated it would use two rush points. When I did this against Edge Protector I would repeatedly get the sound effect that you get when the rush move fails. Repeated this many times and very rarely the DoN would get a win (maybe 1 in 15 tries). After seeing this I put the same RT in with zero abilities and the DoN would get a win almost every attempt.
It also feels like All Day doesn’t really do anything. The tackles held blocks forever sometimes with only Edge Protector. Sometimes the pass rushers would try 3-4 moves and EP would hold up.
What is the counter for inside stuff? Cause I was under the impression it was secure protector. If it isn't please let me know thank you.

Yes Secure Protector or Run Protector will work against Inside Stuff.

Wait, wait, wait... so Slot-o-matic is Route Tech + Short In Elite, are you kidding me? Why doesn't everyone use that shit, it's often available for far cheaper and way earlier in the year.
However, Route Tech works everywhere on the field versus merely on "Short Slot Routes" or how is this restriction defined? Such vague language, super frustrating trying to make sense of these things.

EDIT: Why is Slot-o-matic only 3AP, versus Route Tech which is 4AP? Perhaps another Pick Artist + Lurker which is significantly more expensive than LurkArtist, 1AP retail cost? I was under the impression that Slot-o-matic had been in the game for years. Hrmm.
Since your von Miller had edge threat elite those 2 tackles edge protector not only canceled that out but just made your other ones basically non existent. Now if you had the same results with out the literally ability they are cancelling out then you'd have something to look at their. Otherwise we are just speculating with community again since your one control in the experiment was nullified by having ETE equipped.

If you read further I tested this over the weekend with my DE having only DoN and the results are the same. I’m no longer speculating. I wrote about the testing in a reply on this thread, feel free to read about it.
I have trotted Edge Protectors out against the unstoppable forces and ive regretted my decision everytime. You may be right about the DON and El Toro and for sure edge threat like you said. I think the big diffrence comes in the form of the unstoppable forces / inside stuff, no outsiders if you run the ball.

You are 100% correct about the inside stuff/no outsiders (although both are easily shut down by double teams).
Unstoppable Force and Colossus seem to work similar against Edge Protector/Secure Protector. I played against Danielle Hunter yesterday with Colossus and had only Edge Protector on my RT and I was very rare for Hunter to get a dominant shed on his first move. I watched him light up multiple times in a single play not shed the RT. Had the same experience with my LT with only Edge Protector against Barno with Unstoppable Force. Although Barno did get more quick sheds than Hunter he still had plenty of snaps getting shut down by my LT.
