Karlaftis or Von Miller LTD?

I bought Von a couple days ago for like 780k but haven’t put him in my lineup. I am having a hard to imagining anyone being as good at DT1 as Karlaftis has been (he practically lives in the backfield).

I know Von would be Colossus instead of UF and 1AP cheaper since he gets Inside Stuff for 0. I’m just nervous that his smaller frame wouldn’t be as dominant as Karl.

Anybody use both and have an opinion?

I prefer karlaftis. Vons low str i feel shows up at times and he gets bullied compared to georgie.

At this rate the only card replacing karlaftis at dt for me is....another karlaftis.

I used Von as a DT when he came out. Dude was a ghost most of the time and that's on a Broncos TT.

Thanks for the input, looks like Karl remains DT1. Gonna make a few coins on Von at least.

100% Von Miller, no question. It's as simple as Colossus being superior to Unstoppable Force, as it also works against double teams. I'm using Barno & Hunter off the edge, both with UF, then Von at DT with Colossus. The smaller player models tend to perform a bit better from the interior, as they can squeeze through gaps that big bois typically get hung up on. 

I've kind of tested most DTs, within reason, including Poe (2AP Colossus, cycles all game), Chris Jones, Dexter Lawrence, even Javon Hargrave, just can't justify 4M coins on a DT2 and nothing compares with Colossus. It's the best pass rush ability in the entire game.

George K. was very good for a very long time, both interior and edge rusher, but I replaced him in favor of 0AP UF and never looked back. My edge rushers are 97 & 99 SPD with UF and No Outsiders, as defending the run game can be annoying if someone is committed to it. 

Probably going to keep using boosted Arik Armstead at DT2, although he's OOP.

It seems the consensus is saying Karl has been better than Von. Have you tried Karl at DT1 with UF to know how they compare?

I do agree for some reason the smaller guys seem to wiggle through the middle easier. Karlaftis does have a much smaller model than the DT’s you mentioned and he gets through the middle constantly.

Do you have at least one Colossus on your D-line? Most pass rush abilities aren't worth the AP investment this year. Yes, I've used George K. at DT, although I played him at the edge more often, opposite DeMarcus Ware, with Reggie White at DT during Superbowl era.

If you're sending 4 pass rushers, perhaps your existing arrangement works for you, but I'm generating elite pressure sending just three and constantly dropping 8 into coverage. This is only feasible if you have at least one Colossus to soak up the double teams, ensuring edge rushers have a foot race to the QB for a sack / pressure.

My squad is pretty decent. I test most new top end cards that drop, but only certain ones actually make the squad, let alone see playing time. Von is best DT currently in-game, IMO. I've tried to find better.

I have seen a few opponents shut down my pass rush but more often than not these 3 get tons of pressure. Karlaftis is in the backfield by far the most with Barno being 2nd. Hunter just doesn’t seem to break loose as much.

Curious what stack you're running on Barno? I have him at RE & RRE, he's far and away my most productive player, using 1AP stack; UF, DoN + ET & Relentless... plus No Outsiders, of course. 

Hunter has made a few impressive strip sacks to win me some close games, plus he boosts Von +1 SPD (and all LEs) but he's a weird card. I'd at least try Von for today and see what you think, then list him before bed for profit if you prefer to stick with George. 

The additional 0AP Inside Stuff would definitely influence my own decision, but we've got tons of AP on both sides of the ball now. I went bonkers, putting 5AP stack on my SUBLB2 after pulling BND Sean Taylor from 91+ packs, allowing me to bring Jenkins down into the box full time.
