Game after game after game I get opponents who hit the pause button and the :30 clock is nowhere to be found. Why is this happening?
To me, it’s the most annoying part of the game. Why is this so hard to fix? What is the issue here?
It reeks of disrespect by EA to its audience. How can they be ok wasting our time like this?
Because it does not effect EA's pockets.

Are you "un-pausing" immediately after they pause? I've been doing this automatically for the last 8-9 years and I haven't been hit with the pause glitch in that many years.
Desync's though...that's something i still get hit with and 100% know it's caused by my opponent...I've had a couple message me afterwards bragging about it.
I don’t play online that much but it happens way too often in the house rules games I’ve played. I just do other things and wait them out because I refuse to concede to pricks like this.
They can’t even get solos to work right

I don’t understand, though. How are they able to do it?
And what finally restarts the game? I was winning 17-0 so I just started reading a book and 5 minutes later the game resumed.

Wish I knew. Maybe just pausing the game and going into subs or coaching or whatever is potentially enough to bug out this mess of a game.
I'm not sure even EA truly understands.

Dnt mind losing but when you are on roll it sucks for sure....
LOL, this is STILL a thing? The pause glitch was 100% in Madden '15 (and 16, 17, 18) a decade ago.
How many support cases filed on this one bug for the past ten years? Tens of thousands, perhaps?
If any of you newer players ever think some of us go too hard on EA.
