Coach Strategy Items

I just started playing around the Super Bowl when the game went on sale. I have built up a good team, but I have been lacking in the strategy items. Do you have to use the strategy item that corresponds with the coach on your team? I am running a Cowboys team so I have Mike McCarthy with his coach gray strategy item +1 Break Tackle. I recently got Brian Daboll's green strategy card with +1 Impact Blocking and +1 Run Block. Can I use Daboll's in place of McCarthy's or do I need to get Daboll as my head coach first?

Also, what strategy cards goes in the Hybrid slot? I have yet to see any Hybrid cards (I am guessing this effects both Defense and Offense based on the name, but have no clue sense I can't seem to find any to put in that slot.)

For the coach you can use any coach. In the hybrid spot I think is only common strat items. I have the common +1 THP in the hybrid spot

And there is only two sets to trade these in (gray to green and green to blue) no way to get purples without getting lucky in the store?

The purple and gold strat cards were offered in the season passes. The purple (Epic) show up on the auction house from time to time though

So these aren't even in the store packs?
