There's so many other QBs they could have selected...but maybe they dont have the rights???

Mac Jones could retire tomorrow and EA would give him an Ultimate Legend card

They gave TIM TEBOW a Legends card, who has 0 NFL awards, not even a Pro Bowl, and less career passing yards than Tyler Huntley. The only explanation I have for this is that EA’s AI pressed the wrong button and accidentally released him in MUT instead of CUT. Or alternatively in 10 years the Ravens QB1 will be 99 Ultimate Legends Tyler Huntley.

At least a Kurt Warner upgrade SMH forreals

As a die-hard Tebow fan. He did NOT deserve a Legends card. If anything that card should have been a Playoffs LTD or a Flashback.

They need a smokin Jay cutler instead

Or someone else said Flashbacks...that was a great promo, I dont know why they got rid of it

They could also do a "Pro Bowl" ongoing promo for players that made a pro bowl, had 1-2 good seasons...but werent Great/Legend quality

He's not in this years game yet which sucks, this should have been him instead. Really thought he'd get a card during the Super Bowl promo

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, your assessment is spot on correct, however i believe you basically answered your own question -- almost certainly comes down to a matter of cost.

Paying Jerry Rice or Dan Marino almost certainly costs quite a bit more than the existing crop of scrubs.  This is not a serious video game company and deserves the same amount of respect they provide their fanbase, which is exactly zero.

I remember when "Legends" in this game were actually Legends. Now EA just uses that term to define anyone who is retired from the game. Kinda sad.
