Does anyone have a route combo suggestion on how to move the ball consistently against this scheme? Played a wallet squad last night and they sat in cover 0 all day with universals /one step ahead and man KOs on their corners and the combine malcom jenkins with every ability in the game. I really had no route combo that could consistently beat because the under neath stuff would get knocked out and not enough time to let the passes over the top develop. Short in elite in on my outside receivers didn’t help them hang on to the ball 😔
guess it depends on how many they send, pressing or not, how are they shaded, hows your protection, how many they send out etc.
an easy short route combo that i've used is drag, flat, short in from the inside receiver > out. can change the flat to a wheel if you have more time in the pocket or use a zig route which torch man and stem the in route a little deeper.
simple streak + comeback again from inside receiver > out.
some concept with a post and flood the middle like pa snag slant + post combo, dagger concept.
i guess i forgot the easy way to abuse man and just motion and flip like a mad man and mess up alignments and assignments lol
Sadly, the easiest way to combat this is to get some of the newer cards.
Vernon & Devonte Smith gets double me. Put them on a corner route and they FRY.
Also, utilize auto motions, and have zigs, streaks, and corners on the field. Know what their tendencies are, what type of shading they are doing, do they have help over the top, etc. Put their user in a blender. Make them have to adjust to your offense.
A stemmed up Deep Dig + Double me beats press man. Just be careful of their safeties ( 2 man under).
Run & Gun on Bo Nix is also pretty useful. You can roll out and throw corner routes with perfect accuracy (like the roll out cheese from last year).
If they have bottlenecks + the best cards in the game + UCs everywhere, then sometimes you just gotta tip ya cap man lol
UC still gets smoked by wheel routes

This is absolutely fantastic advice. I've mostly given up on trying to block these all out pressures and just hope to make some type of quick read, or scurry away just long enough to heave up a prayer to Vernon Davis as he cooks Man coverage on his first break. Run and Gun X-factor is fantastic for this very reason, although i'm using Poe OOP QB. RB Flat/Wheel/Streak, combined with a stemmed down Corner route and a backside Drag + Dig combo is probably my go-to: https://huddle.gg/25/playbooks/philadelphia-eagles-off/gun-normal-y-off-close/y-sail/ -- once in a blue moon (especially if you have the abilities to insta-beat Man Press on that deep outside leaning Fade) you can get lucky and just tap the Receiver icon, to lob it up and allow your speedy receiver to run under it. I haven't exactly perfected the deep ball, but in theory this works.
Or perhaps try a Jet Touch Pass and see if you can get to the outside before they haul you down. There's a bunch of stuff from Normal Y Off Close that i've come to rely on.

Flat-zig-comeback concept out of trips is good. Curls are also good.
If they are mid blitzing, put your rb on a wheel and motion him out. If the user does not cover the wheel, it's a td most times.
If they are shading underneath, motion a wr on a streak and snap it, you wr should be able to be open for a td if you set up your blocking properly.
Also Route tech on your wr who run zigs is very helpful, (slot-o-matic can also be decent).

Thanks! And you basically described my entire offense lol
If they don't have any safety help over the top, I usually like running this play against man

I typically call this after running flat x post a few times.
This absolutely nullifies their user and usually leads to a TD.

Wheel routes, double slants, hb routes, drags, option route on the outside, and that deep in route that pushes inside first….if you stem it far up.

I think UC gives all knockouts man and zone.
I don’t think anyone can likely afford one step ahead right now. Don’t think there are any discounts and it’s 5 AP. Maybe that buzzsaw X factor replicates it? Pat Pete and Ramsey can get it always on.

Thank you. Sadly my play book doesn’t have PA snag but I’ll def try out the zig + stemed in route more when I run into 2 man under.

I do need to set more people in motion when I face man. Thank you.

Malcolm Jenkins and Ramsey get it discounted and he had them both at safety from the 3-4 blitzs and had the inside shade x factor on deion that he activated pretty easy after coming down to make the tackles on drags. That was the biggest issues since he played backed up but shaded under neath to deal with the curls and the one step on his safeties made them come down and knock out the ball with all the KOs. Time to lab up some more concepts now since this will be the meta.

Whenever I try to run man, people flip their plays and motion the running back or use plays that do it automatically.
The plays where the tight end motions behind the line before returning also mess up my man assignments at the last second.

That last part. Just cheat. Playing straight-up football against a scheme that doesn't actually work in the NFL when anticipated won't win you games.
