“Play ball conservative” trait a myth?

Byron Jones has the plays ball conservative trait… been using him all day and even went into practise mode and threw the same routes against him and then pat pete

they played it pretty much the same. They both light up due to their KO/reaction time abilities and Byron comes back to routes and attacks it pretty similarly to peterson who has play ball aggressive.

i think the KO’s negate the play ball trait ngl

They both get pretty much the same insane outside DB stack for 0AP which is too hard to miss over a trait.. a trait i don’t even think matters with KO’s. Thoughts?

Another thing to mention is people often forget these traits aren’t ”upgrades” they’re actually different play styles for the DB as seen below:

• Aggressive: DBs with this setting will actively attempt to intercept passes, even if it means taking risks that could lead to missed plays and potential big gains for the offense.

• Balanced: DBs will weigh the situation before deciding whether to go for an interception or play it safe, aiming to maintain solid coverage while still being opportunistic.

• Conservative: DBs focus on minimizing risks by prioritizing coverage and tackling over attempting interceptions, thereby reducing the chance of giving up big plays but also limiting turnover opportunities. 

Back to my main point though, i think that when you add KO’s, they react to the ball pretty much the same regardless of their trait. I believe this would only kick in if they player was CPU controlled with no factoring abilities

I may be mistaken, but I thought I read that putting pick artist on a player turns that conservative into aggressive. Could be wrong though.

Maybe it's just from my own experience, but I think you nailed most of that, I also think type of cb matters as well. Prime time being my best example, misses a fair amount of picks in zone, but in man makes those same picks, I don't see it as play style or traits as much as build. I noticed this in superstar 3 v 3 mode a couple months ago with animations, wouldn't get picks as much in man even being a human blanket, but if I put myself in zone and than manned up I would get the pick animation. My build is a zone cb, should've probs mentioned that lol
