NMS players unite!

But no seriously, EA is gapping the bridge like never before making it harder and harder for nms players to keep up and compete.

Before you come for me, I am blessed enough to be able to afford to blow money on this game but I decided 2 MUTs ago that I would never drop another dime and I am sticking to it out of principle and competitiveness bc honestly there is no better feeling than beating the #1 player on H2H leaderboard knowing you've spent zilch and they have spent, more than likely,  3-4 figures.

With that being said. What do we do?  I would love to hear your strats on juicing up your nms teams. I am running a Bucs 40/40 TT 91ovr. (and yes I am competing even with a 91ovr team)

My strategy is to just quit out when someone is good at the game with a monstars line up lol. I can tell by midway thru the second quarter i’m in for a long day.

They screwed us hard removing the Vintage AKA sets today too. 🤕

I win 80% of my games as NMS with a 94 overall team and 3 mil coins

If we stand for nothing, we'll fall for anything.  It's okay to have morals and principles... especially ones that are not ME, ME, ME (or sheer greed).  I understand what you are saying, ultimately it counts for nothing, but i respect folks who stick to their guns.  I wish i had the balls to remain so principled.

Pay to win has absolutely zero business being part of ANY online, H2H, competitive games.  Sell us uniform packs, cosmetic items, whatever -- keep it more similar to Fortnite.  You can buy tons of stuff, but nothing that gives any type of competitive advantage.  I thought i was signing up for actual simulation fatball, which i had hoped would be fun, fair, balanced and competitive.  Sadly, this bad game has been none of those things.  People get to #1 on Leaderboards, not through any amount of skill or knowledge of the great game of football (or even Madden knowledge, as these are clearly not the same things), but by simply playing the most games in a given cycle.  Check out the Leaderboards, to make a run for the Top 100, guys are often playing 300-400+ Ranked games in a single cycle.  These are not the best and brightest players in the world.  I simply cannot compete with unemployment.

But it's a fucking videogame, who cares if people spend or if they don't? Why does it bother you? Are you one of the people with NMS as their team name? People should worry about themselves instead of worrying about other people. I never understood the obsession this community has when it comes to being NMS, like anybody truly gives a shit. It's really weird and strange to see people worrying about another person's money. Go make your own and then you can spend. If not, that's fine too. Point is it doesn't matter regardless.

I mean this in the most light hearted way possible while still being sarcastic. Now for more serious talk. Only a little. I promise😉.

I feel this behavior isn’t even normal for EA. They seem to be flailing to tread water. Both financially and practically. The more I look at it the more concerned I become.

-I have gone to not spending on live services because of their poor choices but I don’t know about adopting a moniker.  

-I have not played since i synced my binder on the 2nd or 3rd of this month. Don’t intend to until at least March 1st.

-The final thing I’m still only considering is stopping my support of content and creators that spend money in the game. About $30 a month. This is tough because I enjoy them and bear them no ill will. Everybody counts and as an individual I can do little else.

I only share this because I’m trying to encourage others to consider similar steps. Not to cause harm or hinder anyone in anyway.

The game isn't pay to win. I beat plenty of teams that have the best cards in the game. Pay to win is paying to win every game, that's not the case here. The game is too RNG and you pay for the best cards in the game. That doesn't translate to wins tho
