Time to get rid of the theme team?

I have a 40/40 broncos theme team but the end of the game is near, I can’t really compete with these cards with amazing ability stacks a lot. Is it time to get rid of the theme team? The only reason I still have it is for the boosts and just cause it’s fun using an all time broncos time

If you have the right theme team you can still Rock them. I was lucky and picked two teams that made the playoffs and one won the super bowl

You can definitely still use a 40/40 and add all the guys you like with those ability stacks. I'm at 40/40 and 20/20 with a few free spots, and barely trying to squeeze it. EA has made it very easy to hit 40/40 last couple years for this reason. You can still get 40/40 and use Randoms in more than half your starting spots.

Fellow Bronco TT player here and you can absolutely compete. You don't need to go over the 40 threshold.

I just have trouble against Marcus Allen, all the cheese defenses and terrible qb luck but I might just be trash

If it’s your favorite team I say go for it.  I’m running a 40/40 Bills, even though they may not be the best team in the game.

Plus, it’s so easy to fill out theme teams this year that you can run plenty of cheats for some of the more meta cards.  I have a 20 Falcons as my second team and still have room for other guys.

I use 40 cowboys and the rest is whoever I want with great ability stacks. 

There is little reason to try to run multiple theme teams at this point.   Choose your favorite to do 40 with and then use whatever other players you want.

Like the earlier poster, I ran a 20/20 Chiefs/Eagles Theme Team for most of the year, and they both made the Super Bowl, so I got a lot of really good cards.  The Chiefs are my favorite team, so I expanded the Chiefs to 40 today, and am running 40 Chiefs/ 20 Eagles, with 5-6 spots left for non-Theme Team cards.  I am a mediocre player, but still manage to win about 50% of my online games with this team, so a good player could definitely compete  with it.

This is exactly what I have. I think I may be 45/40 cowboys, the rest are high end SB, AKA, and other promo cards.

I run 40/40 ravens 20/40 ravens eagles TT because there my 2 favorite teams 

but probably right after the Easter promo I don’t care about madden in the slightest and probably just gonna rock the most fun cards to use
