What factors do you all look at to determine who you play at slot CB?
My choices are 96 Ty Law, 97 Surtain and 96 Woolen (Genkei).. each brings a little something different to the table. Not sure if taller or faster or better press or whatever is better.
Any advice is much appreciated!
I have Law on the outside with Sanders and Adderley in the slot. Adderley has played amazing there. I haven't played with the newer Surtain card and I am not a fan of the Genkei force program so I don't have any of those players.
Ty Law x3 chems is pretty good. Gets 99 speed, great man/zone, and gets 1 AP midzone. Derwin James is a good option in the slot too, lights up a lot with free midzone. If you mix in man coverage, then Herb Adderley is a great option too.

He has good height, great tackling and hit power, great ability stack and plays really well

i agree herb adderly is best slot in the game.
needs to be able to play the short/middle of the field well and importantly be a good tackler and can get sheds on receivers on run plays. generally tends to be guys that are a bit bigger so they can get into passing lanes while also being able to play the run really well.
herb gets mid/flat ko for 1ap and has really good tackling stats. i also use pat surtain as my other slot since i play dime 2-3 and you essentially have 2 slot players. strong safeties also play really well in that position because of traits listed above, like derwin especially since he gets discount secure tackler if you're REALLY struggling against angry runs marcus.
