I made a post about this before, and it basically turned into a war. However, after reading the comments, I’ve gained a new perspective.
The chew clock will always be a part of football. It’s a rule and a legitimate strategy, so it can’t be removed from Madden—I’ll have to accept that. In Madden, I get that people use it to speed up games, and honestly, I’d rather deal with that than the cheesy DBL Mug stuff and loop blitzing (which, to be fair, I do myself—if you can’t beat them, join them).
That said, I still think something should be adjusted to account for the three-minute quarters in casual H2H. Bumping it up to four minutes could help since chew clock wouldn’t completely drain an entire quarter. Or maybe just apply the same rules from ranked H2H to casual H2H.
I’m not sure if this would make a big difference, or any at all—just sharing some thoughts. What do you guys think?
