You have one job.
Why is releasing stuff on schedule so hard? The computer does it for you if you tell it to.

If only it were that easy. I agree with you that it should go more smoothly than it does, but working in tech, there's always something that goes wrong.

I don't remember the last or even only time MLB the show didn't release on time. Same for 2k really.
once a week is understandable but 3 in a row... really...

I worked in tech for a year-and-a-half, finding that there were really two types of systems administration: One that works, and one that drinks coffee until the system doesn't work. I'm glad I don't have to work with the latter anymore.
I get that networking in an era of heightened cybersecurity or trying to program on new platforms has its challenges. If you have a sandbox and all of the associated protocols, dropping content on the mark is the easiest thing to do. It's should be as simple as programming a timer and pointing to the content. If the system isn't that simple, it should be reprogrammed from scratch. And doing so really shouldn't take more than a day to write and a week to test.

On a certain level, I don't disagree. But we're talking about enterprise scale here, and at scale like that, nothing happens in a day or even a week. I suspect there is a lot of piecing together from various devs prior to each release which inevitably causes delays...honestly, It's a small miracle we get regular updates at all. Â My point is the scale of what they're doing is much greater than how you understand it - it could be automated MUCH better though through enterprise grade platforms and tools - but we'll have to buy more packs to fund their Infrastructure Upgrades lol
(Almost 15 years in enterprise tech and I've worn just about every hat one can over that time)

You don't have to reinvent the wheel either. How many times a week should EA expect to release content? Around 180 times a year? To automate that process is a no-brainer. And every enterprise-level system administrator learned that in their first year of computer science classes.
If they're bringing in temps every week, yeah, I could understand why nobody knows what's going on. I don't think that's what's happening here.

Not to mention this didn't used to be an issue in MUT itself. They even moved back the content drops 3 hours and still often miss the mark.
realize they are splitting the time up to develop college football 26so it can be azz too , yall slow
