Need help countering the new Avalanche meta?

Im seeing some teams running a bunch of Avalanche abilities players

You can now get avalance on the following players

SB Ty Law, SB Von Miller, Brian Crushing, John Lynch, Cooper Dejean

Plus a bunch more with Extra pop

Basically, they drop back, guard the sidelines and let you get 5-10 yards in bounds, hoping to land a hit stick

(Personally Im awful at landing hit sticks, but I guess some people have mastered the timing and can land them easy)

So I have Truzz on Jalen Hurts.  I tried doing a few scrambers as Truzz isnt supposed to fumble from tackling.

...Instead he fumbles every hit stick

I have tank on Frank Gore and he seems to break the avalnache hit stick fumbles

So is tank the Avalanche counter...and not Truzz?

The counter is taking your yards and going right out of bounds.   You should not be eating hit sticks.  I also recommend running on conservative.

What if you cant get out of bounds

Tank worked for me when I was running McFadden who had a 71 Carry.  It isn't a guaranteed counter but works almost all the time.

Tank is the best bet

I run on conservative with balance beam and it's a great counter to any type of hit stick when they happen over the middle after a pass.

get out of bounds or hit square to drop to the turf. Also know where their avalanches are, if you’re running a crosser right into Lynch’s area, conservative catch that. if you’re running you’re route away from Lynch, RAC catch and then drop to the turf if he gets a good angle on you after the catch 

essentially don’t be greedy and try get that extra couple of yards. play the possession game and take the clock with you

At least right now it’s Avalanche *or* Zone KO’s. As everyone is saying, settle for the yards given up, and complete more passes when you’re going against Avalanche. Just don’t get greedy.

Avalanche + Enforcer (or Enforcer Supreme) will get around Tank. You’ve been warned.
