If you create a fusion card like J Williams. Can he start on offense and defense with just one card?

If you buy both the fusions players - for instance the HB (Williams) and the RE (Armstead), then you can start them in 4 positions - but you only get team chem credit for 2 of the positions?

Why would that suck?  If you get +2 chem for your theme team because you have the player on Offense and Defense, why is that bad?  Did you mean that it counts the AP for each position?
