Mystery Player -- boosted 99 SPD Von Miller

Marty1968 had some interesting points about the comparison between Von Miller versus Jared Verse, curious what the community thinks about these options -- obviously we won't actually know until the ability stack on Verse is released, but these are some seriously elite pass rushers, based on physicals and stats only.  The below Von is running on a 40/40 Niners, 20/40 Chiefs and 5/40 Packers (with Reggie +1 SPD), with 0AP Lurker.  Just the single ability bucket.

These are some uniquely interesting cards.  We're officially in MUT Season, boys.  Welcome to the end-game.  Anyone else using any of these Mystery Players on the squad?

I have Von, but went with the XFactor version. 

Dual Threat was the best shed ability in the game last year, and it’s showing up again w/ Von. I already have 4AP on Ware for unstoppable force, so just took that and allocated it to Von. He plays lights out. 

I have Allen too (made a post about it), and he is dumb. None of these always lit XFactors should be in the game, especially Marcus. It takes the fun away from the game.

I'll have to look for your post, i was late to the party discovering many of these cards... and THANK YOU, this (green) version of Von looks absolutely elite.  I'm still trying to figure out how i intend to play Von, seriously tempted to start USERing him, with that 99 SPD and 99 COD.  0AP Lurker is at least something, but it's clearly not Dual Threat.  My Unstoppable TJ Watt (92 OVR) was absolutely devouring kids with his 0AP Dual Threat, i have no doubt that Von is equally as elite.

Grats, fantastic pull.  Which version (color) of Ty Law did you get?  I was fortunate enough to pull the uhhh standard version.  Have a 1AP stack on him; Mid Zone KO, Pick Artist and Tip Drill.

i think it was green.

I had forgotten all about it, going through my binder last night and found it.

Added 5 TP's and it morphed into Ty Law.

He immediately went to #1 over maxed out Deion and Ramsey.

One game; one pick.

But he gets every add-on available. over 10. Always on and cost 5 AP.

Wait so you can use multiple team chems? I assumed it was just x3 of one team. Can it be x1 and x2 on a two team TT?

Absolutely, there are three totally separate buckets, so you can arrange those in ANY way you prefer, they basically work the same way the Team Captains do, when it comes to team chems.  I missed a lot about these Mystery Players, which is kind of why i wanted to continue engaging in a discussion with the community.  These are really quite unique and interesting cards.

I've got the orange Ty Law and with all the boosts he gets, he's a 99. Maxed out with speed, acc, man, zone. Even cod. Only bad stat would be 90 press. But not really bad. Lol  Only have PA on him. Have him paired up with Cooper and Sanders. I'd like to replace Sanders when I can. He seems to leave wrs wide open time to time. 🤷‍♂️ reminds me of the 93 Ngata. 

That Von Miller card has caught my attention now! I'm gonna keep an eye out for one.

How's he play with no real pass ruch abilities.

That Von Miller card has caught my attention now! I'm gonna keep an eye out for one.

Poor Deion might be THE best Corner in the entire game, while also struggling due to the low Press? or perhaps because he's also a Receiver, so he tends to have higher than average "Release" (which on a DB, may or may not negatively impact things -- i found Randy Moss to be difficult to use, despite being my very first card to reach that magic 99 SPD mark).  Those guys just seem to get cooked off the line of scrimmage, no matter what.  Deion at Safety could be better utilized.  YMMV.

Lemme know if you end up tinkering with Von, or any of these others.  Don't snooze on the (now overpriced) green version of Marcus Allen, with 4AP Angry Runs.

So that's the real kicker as you so accurately pointed out.  Everything in this game is ability driven, so he's definitely not going to compare or compete with even the 92 OVR TJ Watt or Trey Hendrickson (both with 0AP Unstoppable Force that never goes away)... however that is now ending, as of tomorrow (FEB13).  So i am planning for the future.  I honestly cannot decide if I want to USER this new Von, he's got elite 99 COD.  For the time being (with small sample size, just a handful of games last evening), Von was an absolute terror on the field, although he was paired opposite Reggie White, with 2AP Unstoppable Force X-factor.  Then Trey holding down the middle, OOP at DT1, for now.

He's good, borderline elite and has ideal pass rush traits (everything = YES).  He sheds double teams and quickly chases down the QB.  It won't be long before our defenders all require something liek Secure Tackler... so his value over the long term may end up being minimal.  For now, he's fantastic.  Will keep you posted if that changes, or how i intend to use him moving forward.

Been thinking of picking him up but Karlaftis been so good. Over 90 sacks in less than week.

I couldn't decide who to take with my 95 BND from end of Field Pass... ultimately i ended up circling back to Furious George.  NOT running 4AP Unstoppable Force on him, but 0AP Edge Threat isn't terrible.  May end up swapping over to Secure Tackler, due to the Angry Runs and nonsense out there.  Love to hear it.
