Question for people who are doing 40 and 20 TT

I'm trying to put together a 49ers 40 TT and Eagles 20 TT, and things are getting pretty tight.

For those of you that have built multiple theme teams,  how much buffer do you have in your roster for non-theme team players? I'm currently at 40 49ers and 18 Eagles, and I think I only have 4 or 5 "open" roster spots. So I'll be able to sneak in 20 Eagles, but not with much room to spare. I've got the +3 chemistry Diamonds for both, and as many +2 Team Builders as I was able.

Curious if I''m missing any tips or tricks or if the reality is such that if you go 40/20, you really just don't have much room to spare.... thanks!

Use the Sub LB, Slot Corner and Slot WR slots for non TT guys.

Try to use mutiple team chem guys if you can afford it.

Are you using both captains?

 40/20 should be pretty easy with spots to spare using both

That’s why I invested in all four orange mystery players - to have flexibility

I would actually recommend a 20x3 build for NMS. You’ll get two maxed-out Team Captains with +3 SPD, with two of Vincent, Te’o, and Tillman being your best value spots. 

Even though the best Eagles will be out of reach, there continue to be good Eagles players among the NAT- and earned-Champions BND options. Super Bowl items will eventually flood the market, so while they’ll be pricey at the outset, you may be able to scoop up more later and get to 40/40 when such a team becomes less costly to build.

I am using both Captains. And the Team Diamonds for both teams. 
When I get to 40/20, I think I’ll have about 4-5 slots for non Niners/Eagles players. Does that sound right? Or should I have more?

At one point i had 30 niners 20 raiders and 5 eagles  idk how my bad

I think you should prob have a couple more spots than that. I think the absolute max you can do right now is something like 40/34 with 40/40 being possible with the new mystery players with 3x chems.

What TTs you running then? And honestly, Tillman was just too short for my liking, played great otherwise though, but Te'o has been..... surprisingly really really good for me. I don't know if I want to use Troy Vincent though lmao. Are you using him?

I'll be curious to hear what you and the community have discovered here.  I've only got Julius Peppers (x3) thus far, but i'm running 40/40 49ers, plus a handful of 5/40s for "flavor of the week" type situation, so as to not fully commit to any specific team.  At the moment i've got the following, in addition to my beloved (but terribly underperforming) Niners:

• 10/40 Bucs
• 5/40 Commanders - to max Sean T. at 99 ACC
• 5/40 Cowgrrls - to max Darren McFadden at 99 ACC, was going to drop these guys, but now that Herb Adderly just dropped today, i almost certainly need to build his set and add him to the squad.  4AP is an awful lot to spend on one player/card, but my goodness Unstoppable Force on DeMarcus Ware ensures i'm able to get consistent pressure when sending just three pass rushers on many/most downs.

I haven't really looked through today's content, been so busy at stupid wr0k i will have to catch up in the coming days.  Team Captains can have split chems, definitely want both of those in your roster.

I've alternated between those three when I didn't need Saturday (which I persistently haven't needed since Trent Williams completed a quality all-Commanders offensive line). Right now I'm using Te'o and McCoy. I recommended Te'o, Tillman, and Vincent for cost reasons. The speed boost from a triple-theme-team matters much more for them.

I'm actually running a 4x20 theme team: Bills/Chiefs/Commanders/Eagles. I did that so that I could easily shift to the eventual Super Bowl teams if doing so made sense. It seems with the given Super Bowl chemistry options, this year won't be anything like last year.

Disagree with the 3 teams. The +3 speed on the Team Captains is not worth it. Tillman might be the only skill position that might benefit, but in most top tier teams he is not on the field. Be honest, if your OPP had Tillman on the field, you know he has a mid team, and you know you most likely won the game from the start.

I would rather have the +2 speed on 40 of my guys (3-5 wr, 1+ TE, 1+HB, QB, 6-9+ guys in the secondary, lbs). Having to get that extra +1 on Tillman and ?? is not worth losing 1 speed in all of the other positions.

For those of us that can't afford the very best at every position, having a fast Team Captain is about as good as it gets. Almost every NMS player should have 3x20's as a base team.

That's fair....I'm rocking currently a 34/40 Chiefs and 20/20 Eagles TT because I just started playing after Zero Chill and EA removed the f'ing Team Builders Solos(classic EA) so now I can't get all the tokens other than the 2 I bought from the store......I did rock Tillman for a while but he's just pretty mid and I have a 95 Dawkins now(W Solos), I don't know where to go from here though. I won't be able to get more Team Builders Tokens and don't quite have the coins to spend to want to make my 92 Desean Jackson and 92 Poe into a 95 Jackson and 95 Poe. At the same time I've kind of wanted to go 20/20/20 to see if I can and how much more fun it is but tbh there are not a ton of skill position players I'm in love with rn, Josh Allen was incredible as a rental while I was winning the SB event and getting Isaiah Simmons last second a few days ago but just can't justify his price so I sold him. I have the SB Event Run 4 and Run 5 pack saved though so should be getting a Chief/Eagle or two on Thursday I just hope Saquon/Hurts/Kelce someone like that gets a non-LTD card so I can get them out of that pack. Question for you though, if I went 20/20/20 what other team would you recommend? I have about 1.2 Mil but not looking to splurge a ton of it this second, probably am going to wait till Friday/Saturday. And I'm on PC so that's always fun to navigate around because random cards are just ridiculously expensive for no reason lol.
