I hope lamar or saquan wins MVP saquan deserves it and I just hate josh allen
Better not, the playoff pretender doesn't deserve it, and if he does it'll prove to everybody why he "won" it
I think the numbers are for sure in favour of Lamar, but I think they may give it to Josh because of how their playoff H2H went. Too many people base that kind of thing off of a single game rather than the whole season

AP voted before that game happened, so that just isn't possible. The AP votes between the end of regular season and the first playoff game. I honestly don't know who will win between Josh and Lamar. Josh has the betting odds, and I think he was more of an MVP for his team. However, Lamar has most of the stats and is a flashier persona on his side of the argument.

Oh I did not know that. In that case, I think it will be Lamar but of course everybody will have their opinion on that.

That poor dude is gonna feel that all off-season

The truth is that every year you can make the case for the MVP to be the QB....but there are certain seasons where there's a noticeable difference in a team and even thought the Iggles have been a top team in the NFL the past few years, the impact Saquon had on them was much more visible than the impact any other player made on his team.
Every person you speak with on the Giants or the Eagles will tell you how much Saquon has meant to them as more than just a great running back....from stars like Cooper DeJean down to practice squad players. The leadership (verbally AND by example), his attitude and work ethic, his willingness to put team first, and much more, created a new attitude and culture within that team and organization.
IMO and many "insiders" he had,. by far, the biggest impact on his team and so I feel like he's a more deserving MVP candidate....but like i said, that usually goes to QBs.

i found a great stat that helps Lamar's case for MVP. Allen is 5-2, I believe, with a QBR under 114, he has 4 games under 80. Lamar is 0-5 when he doesn't play perfect (higher than a 114 QBR). That proves that the Ravens cant win when Lamar doesn't play the greatest. therefore proving that the team around Allen is helping more than people think.
Well, I guess the deciding factor was expectations. The bar was already set high with Lamar and especially after adding Henry. A lot of people picked the bills to finish 3rd or last in AFC East b4 season started and no one expected Josh to do what he did after diggs and Davis. Expectations were high for Rodgers and the jets and tua and the dolphins and they fizzled out. Allen did way more with less that was not expected. I honestly believe it should have been co MVPs, I mean they've done it before. Lamar and Allen IMO are generational talents with huge chips on there shoulders for being constantly doubted, all this is gonna do is make that chip that much bigger on Lamars shoulder,as if he needed any extra motivation, and I believe he's gonna tear the League up next season. As a giants fan I envy the fact you have a QB like you do.. lol
If you can't win with a 2000 yard RB then somethings wrong. L

yeah, i feel lamar got robbed. dont even know the value of the award anymore. Dan Orlovsky even said Lamar was the best QB in the league, but still voted Allen. like are stats just out the window? if I played in the NFL and threw to "cashiers" but had horrible stats and still won the division am I winning MVP? I disagree with the "more with less" arguement. he has a better, more consistent offensive line, his WRs are horrible (not as good as the Ravens but its not like we have Ja'marr Chase). James cook also looked like the best player for the bills in the playoff game (vs Chiefs).
I'm not mad that Allen won the award, I'm happy he finally has something to show for in his career (lol). but I'm just trying to understand how 9 people flipped their vote from All-Pro to MVP which is why Lamar lost.
y'all will be back at the top at some point.

Shocking a guy with the name RavensFlockLetsFly is upset that Lamar didn't get the MVP. I get it you are a Ravens fan, but if you look at it objectively you should be able to see why Josh won.

im not upset I'm just confused. is Lamar getting punished for having good teammates around him? isn't Allen the MVP of the Bills but Lamar MVP of the league?

Why did Allen win?
MaddenIsTerrible said:Why did Allen win?
Because Allen did more with less. He ended up with more wins, beat great teams and put the entire team on his back. Bills w/o Allen end up being a 4 or 5 win team. Ravens w/o Lamar are still a 9 win team. Ravens had one of the best defenses in the NFL and a more talented offense than Josh but had less wins with an easier schedule (not by much but still easier). Stats haven't determined the winner of MVP for quite some time, so just because Lamar put up more yardage and TD's doesn't mean he wins. Stats are for the OPOY award. MVP goes to the person who is the most valuable to their team and I believe Josh was clearly more valuable to the Bills and their success this year.

MVP is supposed to be MVP of the league. And if you're going by MVP of the team, Lamar still wins. It's ok to say they messed up this year. It happens.
