My opponents' cheese has largely been less effective, my linemen are blocking, my receivers are holding onto the ball, my corners aren't dropping passes thrown right to them... nothing else has changed.

"ELO" is busted. Apparently there are millions of casuals, and I never played against any of them.

im getting the complete opposite, only faced one "good" player. DDA was on his side and i lost. but other than that i have played soooo many under center and empty people with very weird teams

Sorry, I meant before the event. I just played my first utter cheeser in about ten Super Bowl event games. I ran across a couple YouTube wannabes along the way, but dispatched them with relative ease.

For me its still a sweatfest. I don't know what the madden matchmaking is, but I have a 94 ovr team and am getting my ass beat consistently by people with nearly all 95 team diamonds

Given that there are no entry costs, this is essentially a three game event, because you can just quit out of Game 1 with no implications. That makes the burdens of a loss much lower than in other events where you might need to with five or more games to get the target outcome. It also means lower skilled teams will join because there are no costs to enter. I finished my fifth this weekend and I’d say half of the games are against serious teams and the other a combo of low ranked teams and those a notch better.
