I try and consume as much football knowledge as possible to enjoy this game. From defensive responsibilities, ranging from the safety all the way to the cornerbacks, personnel formations on the offensive side, the different names that indicate whom the hot routes are for. However, despit all of the information I research, this game just finds a way to defy all aspect of football and keep you in a losing loop. How am I suppose to enjoy this game?

You have to look at it as a football video game and not just football.
I run a lot of realistic concepts that work extremely well in this game but you have to couple that with an understanding of how the game is coded.
Studying real football is not harmful, and EA has done a better job recently at getting "real football" into the game, but at the end of the day it is still a video game and to truly get better, you need to understand that!

You're absolutely right my guy.

I definitely understand the frustration though!
It's too bad there isn't a way to combat those who use exploits to win games. Def ruins some of the fun of the game.

Exactly. I guess I gotta role with it and find a way to get better at countering it.

I've been struggling with this for years.
I remember a time when you would have a bruising HB (Michael Turner) a Beefy O-Line a Blocking TE and you would punish any fool who lined up in Nickel/Dime/Dollar.
Today you can have the best RBK O-Line, best Blocking TE, and the best RB and you still can't run the ball in a Ranked game - Even when your opponent is playing Dime Cover 4 - It's a disgrace.
It doesn't help to know anything about "Real" Football, you need to learn EA "Nonsense" Football and become a Pro at exposing the flaws in the game.
I feel ya, it's just too frustrating. I understand it's "ranked" play and the certain degree of sweatiness involved, but everyone running meta is exhausting.
I want to enjoy the game without having to adjust for the same glitchy plays every game.
My 6’1 210 pound corner with 95 speed and KOs gets mossed by Devonte Smith to win the game in ranks
