SB Past Ray Nitschke

0ap PA and 0ap MZKO and Devin white with 0ap LA

made me re-promote myself back to champion for darnell washington instead of Simmons.  Anyone else do the same?

I have just found LBs to be kind of useless compared to Safeties at SubLB and I generally run mostly nickel sets so for me, I don't really put a lot of stock in those LBs but if you play 3-4, 4-3, 6-1, etc I can see it. Only thing with Simmons is his height. Abilities can't make a card taller LOL

agreed but Ray is 6’3, simmons is 6’4 not a big difference

White at ROLB, move Nitschke to LOLB where he is a 96 OVR, and Simmons at 6'4" at MLB as your user on a 20/20 or 40/40 TT? 🤷‍♂️

Simmons with MZKO for 1 AP and PA or LA for another 1 AP if you have it to spend.
Nitschke with MZKO and PA for 0 AP.
White with LA for 0 AP, 2 AP for MZKO.

So MZKO on all 3 for 3 AP.

thats a great set up but I’m mostly in dollar or dime 1-4

Totally true, good point. Simmons just always seems to play even taller but I do remember a few years back when Nitchske was the best LB user in Madden for a while. Plus he's a beast of a pass rusher

See, that's the same issue I have with my defensive setup. I'm in nickel a lot also, so I can use one of them at SubLB (probably Nitschke because of his pass rush stats) but using 2 LBs instead of safeties as a user - I just don't think LBs are as effective especially if you are usering in coverage

I prefer linebackers over safeties for run defense, especially being in a pass heavy formation like dollar/dime

I mean I get that from those couple years when they were nerfed. But now with these cheap abilities you get lurk artist and zone knock outs on top of the other benefits.

You have guys like this Simmons who are taller, just as fast, better cod than most safeties. Plus they weigh more and have better blockshed and pass rush stats.

This Madden, never count EA out of doing stupid crap.  They make players faster, catch better, play positions they were never meant to play.  I can’t totally see them increasing height as a “reward” or “boost” of some kind. Remember the old thanksgiving games?

I went back up to get Washington as well. I don’t see any 97 speed tea with free useful abilities right now. Whil white has same stack as Simmons and wild man is even better

yup, that was my thought process too. had buyers remorse after paying 3.7m for gronk when I could get darnell for free

I'm keeping Simmons for his TT boosts. Ray can become a looper if you want  too for his speed, bsh, and tackling. Also, if you opponent through the ball out of a sack a lot, Ray has a very good chance of picking it off for 6 with LA.
