I am sure odds would be very low but I’m just curious if anyone’s ever done it. Referring to the sets where it’s like any 4 80-81s to make a random 82-83.

It is possible. I got a 78 or 79 Platinum from doing that set earlier in the year. I have done a lot of these upgrade sets over the course of the year so far, and only gotten the one Platinum, so it definitely isn't common.
