He’s got to improve enough in the offseason so as not to have opposing defensive coordinators catch up on his tendencies, and he’s got to cope with the realities of salary cap-driven attrition against key teammates currently on the roster. Nothing about his future is guaranteed, no matter how good his rookie season was.
If you want a sport where only your own skill matters, an athlete should focus on golf or bowling. Especially in football is it the reality that your teammates can elevate you, or your teammates can let you down.

I agree with this completely. He is of a slight build and won't be able to take the bigger hits. 2nd year is when defenses figure you out and bad things can happen aka RG3 for people with happy feet. He has shown he can throw the ball well. They need to merge him into more of a Mahomes to keep plays alive, I think he has the skills to be successful.

Well any players is one play away from taking his last snap , Also they said the same thing about Lamar at the same age was similar weight and build and he has been pretty healthy . To think he is not gonna be good after watching him this season in big spots play amazing is unreal . He looks good in the pocket and looks good extending plays . If anything his team will improve ( or should ) with him being on a rookie contract . Who knows if he plays in the conference championship again ( is not easy unless your Mahomes to get to the conference championship ) Burrow has only been to one . The kid future is bright .
