I don't really think doing something about it is possible. You can't get every single player to just stop buying packs. Maybe a few here and there on this site but we barely scratch the surface and for every person here who doesn't spend, there are 10 more that do spend money that don't even post here.

All we can do as individuals is stop spending but we can't control other people.

Habit I believe plays a part...for me the habit of accomplishing the dailies and maxing out the field pass...took a week off as I was really bored with the rinse and repeat of the game...jumped on this morning to see if there were any new challenges or if it would be entertaining...it wasn't.

It's cuz there's no competition and for me it's mainly the team building that's fun. Gameplay is and was bad for the most part. It's the neccessary evil to get cards. But I play less every year. The last two years I only started around christmas time cuz I didn't care to start before that. And now I'm most likely not the even playing til the end.

I walked away for a long time.  

My PSN history shows that I booted up Madden 18 (Tom Brady), but I honestly don't remember playing it.

I came back to Madden 25 and was instantly hooked on MUT; I've been chasing the dragon ever since.

I don't love Madden - I don't hate Madden

But it's the best option we have.

You guys want to do something? Start voicing your opinion to the NFL - Encourage the League to end the exclusive licensing rights.

I’ve been led to false hope the the NFL will stop the exclusive license with EA sometime soon, but unfortunately it is a matter of making money rather than producing the best game. Madden is NOT a good game, and that’s why I only buy it on sal and never spend money ingame. As long as this is the only NFL licensed football game, I can guarantee that it will be making enough money for NFL to want to keep the license. I firmly believe that the only solution is not to quit the game altogether, as the whales will make most of the caring community’s loss insignificant, but instead voice our opinion. Great write up of your thoughts.
