I bought the dip. I will hold until I’m old

So with that in mind I can write an email or two. That’s not much of a time commitment to start. Enough people write a couple emails to content creators or message in some other way maybe they take notice. I’m old and emails were the first thing that came to mind.
I'd love to brainstorm a few hashtags and then try to get the community to rally around those. Perhaps someone more creative and smarter than i could begin workshopping some ideas, with the goal (as you guys already stated) to reach the widest audience possible. As i clipped from the prior article, they just hear all this complaining as run of the mill angry nerds, nothing out of the ordinary. The league needs to discover that we're displeased. Doubt we'd get any actual news/media outlets to pick it up, but perhaps an independent outlet such as 404media might be a decent place to start: https://www.404media.co/
I think they're the former creators of Vice before that got gobbled up by a larger corporation and their actual investigative journalism became gimped/compromised. It's difficult to hold power accountable if you need those same powerful figures to pay you gobs of ad dollars. Clear conflict of interest. Anyhoo, i'm already ranting and way off topic as i tend to do.
PLEASE let me know whatever we can do to support your ongoing efforts. That's my two cents, although i'm admittedly not much of a marketing genius. I have basic tech skills and can work LLMs to produce most anything we may need.
I'm not convinced pack strikes are effective, people are gonna be people. Social media is a powerful tool that could be leveraged to get necessary eyeballs, hence the suggestion of finding a #hashtag to rally around.

We're using what limited knowledge and information is available to try and help predict the future, while merely trying to understand the trajectory of the parent company and potential ongoing contract negotiations surrounding Madden franchise and their exclusive licensing agreement with the league. Our (well i can only speak for myself, so MY) ideal goal would be for that to go away. We may already be too late, surely talks have been going on for months, if not longer. EA potentially has a BILLION dollars at stake here.

That's extremely telling... the company had three of the Top 10 best selling games (not sports titles, but ALL video games, CFB was second only to Black Ops 6) and yet they STILL took a ~20% plunge in their stock price.
The AAA gaming spaces bubble is bursting before our eyes. All those Wall Street and banker types who used peak COVID gaming numbers to forecast out growth over the next ~decade are quickly discovering we will NEVER have those same market conditions again. At least i sure hope we're not all literally trapped in our homes for a year or two. That was a dark period, not normal. But they took the explosive growth as "opportunity" -- which allowed video game budgets to spiral out of control. Some of these big titles are spending more than feature films, in the hundreds of millions of dollars. That simply is not sustainable.
We NEED competition gotta get rid of that exclusive license

EA won't release their full earnings until the afternoon of Tuesday, February 4th... but they are clearly underperforming. It seems they're trying to get ahead of the news by prereleasing the bad numbers. The road ahead for EA appears "bumpy" to put it gently. Everyone seems to be waiting to hear what will be on the release schedule for 2026 and 2027.
INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW. Do we think they manage to keep an exclusive NFL license, or will the league finally allow some other competitors (Take Two Interactive?) to take a stab. We spend day after day providing feedback, but they don't give a shit and quite frankly, they don't have the talent or Dev staff/skill to make any meaningful changes within the constraints of the buggy ass Frostbite game engine. This is what they think of all of us annoying ass video gamers... why won't we just shut the fuck up and give them more money? Guess we need to be a bit more loud.
>> The analysts there said that anecdotally, they’d “**heard mounting player complaints about stale content and monetization schemes.**” But they said the level of complaining wasn’t any greater than normal.
Take Two is somehow far more greedy and worthless than EA.

For sure, would be out of the frying pan and into the fryer to get Take Two as overlords. I can barely play NBA2K25, but hoops remains my son's favorite sport, so we end up getting him the game, at least the past few years. I'm setting a terrible example with Madden.
When a company can fix things instantly that effect their wallet but take forever to fix user issues and problems, it is clear what priorities are more important. If EA spent half as much energy on the game as they do their greed, we would have an amazing game every year.

So sad, but oh so very true. Go Bills!~
I quit playing madden three months ago and I've been playing madden since day one. So sad to see my favorite game of all time turn into a money grab! You would think that with the money that this game generates they would atleast be able to fix the long on going issues with the game. Can't even do that. 🤷♂️ so sad!!!! ✌️

You’re right. I got discouraged yesterday. I played some Horizon on a new PS5 Pro and today is going to be a good day of football. Yeah I broke down and bought it. So feeling better.
The idea of a spending strike or pack strike is getting about as much traction as a greased up pig shot out of a cannon. So I’m going to have to change up my personal strategy a bit but I have another idea I want to judge the community’s response.
An organized uninstall of Madden for a weekend or something. Combined with a message or a hashtag delivered on social media to all those involved. Content creators would be essential because they would need to be willing to participate by playing a different game for that period. Could be effective and fun. Probably should discuss it elsewhere but I want to hear what people think.
edit: Content Creators could also just not play
Madden and college football is there money maker. Them branching out to other games is what screwed them. They were getting greedy. They should spend all there time and resources making the football games perfect.
peatrick said:What do you mean, they can't ignore us and keep (re)selling us the same basic game, filled with identical bugs and glitches year after year without repercussion? Egad.
Then how are they going to deliver infinite growth to their shareholders? EA Orlando / Tiburon might have to do work.
The college game is ten times worse! Lineup issues. Solo challenge issues. Took them 4 or 5 months to finally start releasing content. There sets are horrible!! Sets disappear randomly. They nerf players about a month after there released. With how much money that game has made, you'd think most issues would be fixed by now. But nope!! It sucks bc I LOVE the gameplay in the college game! People spent $100 for the National Championship player a while back. Ended up being Will Howard. I did not buy that. No way. But I was able to pick him up for 260k. That was a kick to the nuts for whom ever paid $100 for that! As far as Madden goes... I'll always play this game. Always have, always will. But issue after issue. This year has been the worst imo. I've opened up about 8 cases this year. They solve nothing! Just have to wait and see if anything gets fixed. Most of the time it does.
Best news Ive heard in a while. May it crash and burn. Maybe they will start focusing on gameplay more since their current little strategy of greed is backfiring. Bring back trade block and stop worrying about what people do with the coins and focus more on actual gameplay/content instead of stock numbers. Pathetic this game has turned into how much cash can we squeeze out of these addicts for our quartly earnings to please the ceo's rather than a fun enjoyable Mut.
