I’m on the classic setting (the one where you just click and it throws) and i’m in Champion 1 in ranked. I was watching MCS and i noticed they use a meter setting. If i learn that, will it take me to the next level? Or will it not be too much a difference? Thanks in advance!
There's better placement imo with the other settings, but i do classic cause it's easier when I'm doing 10 things at once while playing.

does it really make much of a difference?

thanks man. do you know the name of the best setting?

The "best" setting is going to depend on your particular comfort level and play style. I would highly recommend you start with Placement and Accuracy and begin at or near the default value, which i believe is something liek 7/20. You can also tinker with the pass lead distance, which i believe is; None, Near, Far... or something along those lines. Start slow, drop into practice mode and spend 15-20 minutes learning the basic timing.
YES, this can absolutely take you to the next level. The goal is to get the release timing down for your favorite QB, to the point where you are regularly throwing perfect "blue" passes on most downs. It's just one of those things that you need to have sufficient repetitions to get the muscle memory down. PLEASE BE ADVISED, the Gunslinger ability will cause random overthrows. This doesn't mean that your QB is bad, the game tends to be a buggy inconsistent mess, but Placement & Accuracy is the only way to go, IMO.
Every QB release style is going to be a little different. Baker Mayfield (Three Quarters 5) and Josh Allen (Lower Three Quarters 2) are probably two of THE best QB Release styles in the entire game. Matthew Stafford is up there, as well, but his insane hot route animations / delay make him unusable, IMO. YMMV, but please let us know if you have any specific questions about the new passing mechanics. It's a massive upgrade. If you're already playing at Champion tier level without new passing, yer doing way better than most. Keep up the outstanding work.

Have you tried Vince Young? I would argue he's as good or better with the release

My goodness, i had him for less than a ~day at one point... at the time i was still getting familiar with the various (updated for M25) types of QB Release styles and the new naming conventions. I thought i was buying him for the sheer speed, but i'm still basically a statue in the pocket. I wasn't able to tell a huge difference between him and Eli -- nor did this site inform me of what Vince's actual QB release is/was.
Not sure why it still reads as "Unknown" does Vince also get a unique (to him) QB Release style, or what is up with that? I guess i jsut assumed it might be Over the Top 2, but clearly i have no clue. I may need to revisit that, by trying out his 92 OVR to compare.
Appreciate the info. What stack do you run on speedy Vince? With the AP update i'm back to being at or near the true quad/god stack, just missing the (severely nerfed) velocity ability; Gunslinger, Gift-Wrapped and Master Tactician is wonderful, basically zero compromises, although i will miss the 2AP Tank on my HB.

Currently i have gunslinger gift wrapped and dashing deadeye. Was lucky enough to get him for 1.6 when right handed Vick dropped and had him since. Been my fav QB since I have a cover 3 beater and he releases the ball which most QBs I had would be a incomplete because of the wind up.
BUT I never tried Baker or Allen since I've been very pleased with Young yet constantly playing against them never impressed me to switch. I am also mainly a pocket passer
