Sniping isn't really a big thing anymore with price minimums. The best way to get cards at lower prices and sell higher is to buy 1-2 days after the drop then sell when their market dries up

The site is probably due for a BEGGINNERS (frequently asked questions) section -- BuffaloKaay's post before MUTmas was quite helpful, in terms of general market knowledge, even if the specific info turned out to be mostly a wash.

There were SO many (extremely knowledgeable people, such as yourself) in these forums, many of which took a ton of time to specifically respond to my array of n00b questions back when i first joined the MUT community, midway through the M23 cycle.  I was total casual for M22, didn't even touch Ultimate Team.  I would have without a doubt thrown in the towel out of sheer frustration (and lack of understanding) had it not been for the school of MUT hard-knocks that i got taken to early on.  The in-game menus and descriptions provided by EA are, go figure, woefully inadequate.  So we're all forced to teach one another and hope the information is somewhat accurate.

I guess my point here is that, i'm simply trying to pay it forward.  And i wr0k remotely, so have the luxury of trolling through these forums and shit-posting from time to time, if i'm not busy.  And i'm also here still learning and trying to do the best we can, using the information available.  I'm sorry, i'm old and potentially forgetful (or just dense) -- can you clue me in to yer little gem / quote above?

There is an anti-sniping filter mechanism that was applied last year in madden.  You are assigned a random arbitrary time (ranging from instantly to about 4 mins) to see a card that is posted.   So even if you know a card is posted you may not be able to see the card and buy it.  
IE "sniping" is dead as I imagine you are  using the context of your post from back in the day, where you sit on specific filters.

I'm not certain this is true. On numerous occasions I have seen an item register on mut.gg, but I can't see it for as much as two minutes. However, I know it's coming, and eventually I see it on refresh. No guarantee I get it, but unless I'm somehow sniping bargains on items that aren't in demand, I don't see how I've bagged a high percentage of these cards.

So with that, I would say that you can snipe more effectively if you have more fishing poles. Get on your console or computer, and run the Companion App simultaneously. If you're camping on a specific card, get to that card's page, and refresh mut.gg often and look for that card at that price.

Set filters in the AH , depending on the program and the volume of cards , you might need to switch up filters .   

If a new program drops or everyone has the same idea of selling a certain card . Like playoff promo 91’s , you might see that cheapest buy now was posted 20 minutes ago and there are 100 items . That’s when you need to filter down .   

My first filter is after the program and 90-91 , would usually be offensive players , then Defensive players . Again I look at the cheapest buy now Card and how many items . If it says 90 to 100 I add another filter . Favorite is team/Confrence and filter by division . NFC East etc . This usually results in much lower items showing . Than I continue to filter between divisions and look for cards selling cheaper than the rest . Buy and resell at a profit

Go to the auct house daily, get a good feel for it and make sure you know your way around. Check players prices daily if not more.  Filter, filter, filter If your trying to snipe something of substantial value you have to be quick when resetting your filter and have it locked in so the snipe pops up without you having to look around, Also understanding the market is important but that comes with time. Start out small and work your way up. If sniping is something you want to keep doing then always keep a good amount of coins on hand for such purpose.  If timing is key then you may want to do this after a big/new  promo drops or limited time deals packs are available when high prices players drop drastically because of the good deal.
