I see people running this all the time now
Basically you can have any 2 WRs (blocking stats dont matter) and they dominantly block your defending DBS, so the TE gets a wide open catch outside
I've tried Man press, 0 drop zone flats.
All my DBs get blocked...the only way I can counter this is to manually lurk with my DE on that side

its it that one or the one out of Y Off Trips Nasty in Chiefs, ive only seen the one from Chiefs.

Just the new cheese. EA logic is it's a DB so they can never get off of a block which is why these piece of shit plays work

It has something to do with it being an RPO
The player that is supposed to cover the TE always runs commits because hes the R man in the RPO
I did some quick research
Theres only 1 play that can stop it
Nickel 2-4 Dbl Mug - Nickel Dog 3 Buzz
This formation makes your DE as the R commit and allows your DB to play a flat and cover the TE
Madden should jsut remove RPOs since they dont know how to code them properly

I saw this first time last week. I couldn't stop it. With Identifier, the offense audibles to another complementary cheese play. As soon as you trying to make your adjustments on the hurry-up, they go back to that nonsense.
It's awful.

its sooooo annoying. seems like no matter what adjustments you make your defense just remains clueless. I just played someone running this and multiple times lurk artist gronk had the ball zip inches over his head and its like his feet were cemented to the ground. and good luck getting a corner to get off a block.
This is hardly new, that play has been pretty "meta" for awhile now.
The pistol one isn't even that great. Slide your line and user outside the slot CB and you will be fine. The run action on this is terrible (in that specific play in pistol), and a quick slide will usually take care if they don't throw the RPO
The play out of U-Trips or Y-Trips Nasty w/ this same look, but also having a read-option is a bear to defend. Have to run option conservative, slide your LBs to the weak side and again user the flat route. If the guy you're playing has decent stick and a mobile QB, they can still cancel the action and run up field for a few yards, even w/ the containing DE holding him on the option.

I run the pats defense, and I have found that tampa 2 out of 6-1 also does a fantastic job at defending this play, especially in the redzone as all you really have to do is shade down, pinch your d-line and take the mlb and put him beside the OLB on the trips side(you can make tampa two out of any other 6-1, having it stock just saves time and as far as I know it is only avaible stock in the pats).

Run a defense were your player your putting in the hard flat ( inside CB or LB) isn't in a read key and more than not they should blow it up . If the CB or the LB is the read key they will bite every time . You can cover it manually but IMO that leaves you vulnerable to other plays .
If I see this being spammed I will man up the SubLb to the receiver/TE and it’s usually pretty effective. Then I can still user the other SubLb to stop the run.
I saw a version of this a few times this morning but they weren’t spamming it over and over at least.

This aint new cheese. I've been running this play since season 2. haha. However, I'm not the pieces of shit that spam this every play. It use it as a play to keep my opponent guessing. I might run the ball two plays then hit you with an RPO.
Also, for you guys that like to spam mug blitzes and that mike man blitz... you are going to get this RPO every two or three plays until you stop spamming that BS. Especially, I you load the box up blitzing 7 players and I see one CB on that RPO side.

If you user the slot corner , you can jump this route for an easy pick 6. You have to time it right. 90% of the time if you can read an offensive formation and the spacing. You can tell that RPO is coming. I'm not gonna give any more sauce away here either.
