So, last week I went 4-2 picking all the favorites. If I were betting, it would have been 3-3, because I had the Bills winning a close one and would have taken the points. A bit of a thwpt, but life goes on.
Chiefs 26, Texans 17. Last week, the Texans shocked (almost) everyone and their line actually head up pretty well against a pair of veteran edge rushers in Mack and Bosa. In fact, I heard the name Poona more than either of those two. But therein lies the truth of the texans, their tackles are pretty good, their interior line is awful. Poona is a pretty good dt, Chris Jones is a freak of nature. I gave the Texans 17 points because I was feeling charitable, they could easily get shut out. Two things the Texans do have going for them however is a defense that is playing its best ball at the right time, and the chiefs haven't played meaningful football in almost a month so they may come out flat. I don't think either is enough though to alter my prediction here though.
Lions 35, commies 20. Jayden has been amazing all year, and maybe the lucky charms will sprinkle down on him in detroit one more time. Luck runs out though, and the commies are no where near as good as the lions pound for pound. I don't see this game being particularly good, but it would be fun to see another miracle.
Rams 24, Eagles 23. My head says the eagles will fly; the heart sees an army of rams bashing through the door. I can't explain why, maybe its the fires in LA, maybe its the weed, but I keep thinking the rams are the team of destiny this year, at least until they face the chiefs in the bowl. All it took was finding a way for the rams to beat the eagles (stop barkley, make jalen beat you) and I was in.
Ravens 653, Bills 652. Ok, this could go either way, and it could even be a low scoring game. These defenses are better than most think. I flipped a coin and it came up ravens.
Have fun this weekend, and here's to hoping your team wins.
