Seeing things like high motor or makes aggressive catches on wrs has me ready to upgrade my current wrs.
I think they matter. High motor, bull rush, spin move, swim move.....I look for for these with high block shedding and high strength for a good DT or DE user. It may matter a little less if it is not a player you use. To me it seems like SRR, MRR & DRR are more important for receivers. I have receivers that have lower SRR or MRR running bad routes and getting pushed off route by defenders often enough that I notice it. So for receivers I look for speed, catching and route running stats.

This is interesting. I was looking at my ed McCaffrey card seeing that it said clutch. Than I assumed it makes sense because he's made some amazing plays for me to win a game. That's when I started looking more into traits today. I'm going to look more into it thanks

Clutch is one of the best traits. It basically gives you a ratings. Boost the last 2 minutes of every half and if you're down by more than a touchdown...

Traits matter more than ratings if you ask me 100%.

In the past 2 seasons of madden the abilities and x-factors seemed to trump everything. A player with colossus or vanguard would dominate. A defender with KO didn't even have to hit the receiver to knock the ball out. LOL. It was ridiculous. At the beginning of the year I think EA announced they were going to scale some of these things back a bit. I do not play head to head (no Play Station +), so I am not sure what is it like playing against the best players with added abilities and X-Factors, but I can tell you I have vanguard on 2 of my tight end and it is not nearly as effective as it was last year.
