Is MUT linked to EA account or xbox gamertag?

recently got an xbox again but forgot gamertag password. i can get into my ea account, however. am i able to link my ea account to a different gamertag? if so, would my mut team be there?

I did and they provided a wrong answer. I was told it is all saved to console. which is 100% wrong

it’s linked to your xbox console account. if you buy it again with a different account you’ll start with a new team.

Yeah, you cant move your team between consoles as far as i know.

Your MUT account is linked to your XBox game tag. It would be easier to deal with Microsoft and reset your password so you can use your existing account. Somehow my EA account got linked to both my game tag and my son’s game tag. I’m not able to use the mobile app because it will only link to my son’s game tag. EA won’t remove his game tag from my account.
